Nothing says classy like a pen with a slide-out banner!
More seriously though, things I've grabbed that have actually been useful were the pens that also have the stylus tip for phones & tablets
and with newer waterproof phones it's probably less useful nowadays, but sealable phone cases for cycling, the beach, or anywhere you don't want to get your shit wet
- As cheesy as pens are, I do keep all the free ones I get. Never look at the logo, but maybe someday I will.formed

You said that your market likes to post what they got on facebook/instagram so why not work that into the marketing strategy?
Give them something for free. Make up a hashtag.
Get your market to post photos of themselves with the thing, or the thing in strange places etc along with the hashtag and your URL. Or even create an online image uploader where they can upload the pic and have it branded then they can save it and post to social.
Then you randomly (or pick favourite) pics and give those people a special deal/freebie.Tshirt is cool idea if you have a nice brand but if its just saying something like "email tracker" then no one is going to wear that.
I've always thought USB sticks were a good giveaway and I've always used them. If they are small in size and big in gigs then people will likely shove it on their keyring.
- USB sticks usually in our market are just shit you get at a seminar... so people aren't posting photos of a cool USB stick on FB...dconstrukt
- but love the idea with the hashtag + posting photos. need to make it a cool thing. the first post in the thread has that dudes tshirts ppl r posting on fb.dconstrukt
