His latest diatribe / mind-vomit left me with one realization:
The age of Trump and MAGA has a lot to do with why he did this, why he's applauded for it, and why it will continue.
People have always been jerks, they've always had crass and inappropriate things to say, but MAGA normalized it.
Ten years ago, would you have expected any CEO anywhere to a) speak out like that, b) be applauded for it (albeit by a totally predictable segment of society), and c) not be thrown to the curb by a board? No way, IMO, anyone would have been kept around for half the stuff Elon does that ends up being a massive threat to a financial bottom line.
It's the proverbial downhill slide of society thanks in large part to the way Trump and MAGA have empowered and emboldened ignorance, lies, vindictiveness, lack of decorum, lack of self-respect, lack of respect for others, complete abandonment of professionalism, and willful stupidity that wasn't mainstream before Trump.
Marjorie Taylor Green, George Santos, Lauren Boebert, Elon Musk, Matt Gaetz, and so many more are all a byproduct of what Trump ushered into this world. Empowered by a lack of consequences, emboldened by a desire to be more brash and extreme than the person before them, that's why we're here. They play off the intellectual abyss of their supporters, they thrive on it, and they exist because they're a mirror image of the traits, attitudes, and character (or lack thereof) of the people who love them because they have no idea they're being used to the degree they are.
I realize Elon is a different animal altogether than the politicians I mentioned, but the equation is the same: he's worshiped and celebrated for truly ghastly behavior, by people who want to act exactly like him to the people they don't like.
- The implication you’re making here is that you and your likeminded brethren are wiser, more intelligent, more insightful and have all the ‘right’ solutions...Morning_star
- And... uhhhh.... there it stops. You hold up the names you mention and others, like demons of old which will curse your crops and wither your children. All...Morning_star
- ...while impotently praying to the gods of the oh-so-effective left. It’s a fucking myth, a self imposed belief system. Grow a set and get out there and do...Morning_star
- ...something about the problems you perceive, don’t be a victim.Morning_star
- You got that from reading what I wrote? That I’m suggesting I’m wiser and more intelligent because I called out people for abhorrent behavior...mg33
- that society has historically considered bad?mg33
- Partly. You’re implying it through your judgement and criticism. You have also projected your position on ‘society’. ‘Society’ includes all those MAGA types...Morning_star
- ... and those with divergent views. Your post comes across as defeatist and without hope.Morning_star

Man's gonna get hopped up on shitty pills and have a choke-wank using the IDF dogtags he was given the other day - they'll find him with his tongue hanging out and a rolling slideshow of rough CP on the telly.
Howard Hughes had the style and creativity to become a full-on Vegas hotel weirdo, Musk is just a fucking z-tier shambles of a man with (really) bad fillers and plastic hair.

Tesla Fans Frustrated by Musk’s Reveal of More Expensive, Less Impressive Cybertruck
Handing off the steel-plated electric vehicles to a select few owners, the Tesla CEO did not directly announce their range or pricingElon Musk appeared at Tesla‘s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, on Thursday to unveil the long-awaited Cybertruck, first teased in a disastrous 2019 demo that left the prototype with two shattered windows. And while nothing broke during this launch, which was broadcast live on X (formerly Twitter), it nonetheless drew mixed reviews from Tesla customers, with some disappointed by higher prices and diminished capabilities compared to the vehicle’s target specs.
The sharp-angled, stainless steel Cybertruck has been a production nightmare for Tesla, bedeviled by design flaws and repeated delays, and few have been finished to date. Musk drove one onto a stage about 25 minutes after the scheduled start time of the hyped event, which saw him hand off several of the vehicles to a select few owners — most of whom had to be shown how to open the passenger door using a button inside the vehicle.

Elon Musk Is Giving QAnon Believers Hope Just in Time for the 2024 Elections
Musk’s recent use of the term “Q*Anon” is his most explicit endorsement of the movement to date. Conspiracists have since spent days dissecting its meaning and cheering on his apparent support. With no new messages from Q in almost three years and former US President Donald Trump facing mounting legal woes, one would think that the QAnon political conspiracy was losing steam. But, on November 22, Elon Musk may have renewed hope for conspiracists around the world: As the US was preparing for Thanksgiving, Musk tweeted “Q*Anon” out to his 164.5 million followers.
Musk’s post, which has been viewed 7.8 million times, linked to a story referencing a secret OpenAI project known as Q* (pronounced Q star). Instantly, the online spaces where QAnon still flourishes—message boards, Telegram, and X itself—lit up with excited believers cheering Musk’s post. They claimed it was an endorsement of their worldview and, despite years of failed promises, confirmation that they were on the right path.
- This is fucking stupid. Q* is the open AI model that is supposedly so scary. “Q*anon” was a bad pun. There’s no ambiguity about its meaning in context.monNom
