What is he doing? He's selling cars.
Six years ago he was still the smooth eco-minded California nerd who had sold the idea of a clean, overpriced, underdeveloped and still impractical at that time, electric car to California lawyers and dentists.
When he released Model 3 and control over that segment went on autopilot, pun intended, he decided to move on to the lucrative market of pickup trucks.
How does that smooth climate-saving California snowflake sell a Tesla to—I'm using a wide brush here but you know who I mean—rednecks?
By becoming one of them.
He put on a new persona. Turned right wing, changed his style, even moved the company to Texas. He's now someone pickup truck clientele can identify with.

So in this Spaces roundtable Elmo is saying that the earth can hold 10x or more humans because earth is so big and only the big cities are densely populated. As if overpopulation has anything to do with actual living space but the way humans are treating the environment and resources. And in many parts of the planet people don't have clean drinking water or food. On top of that much of the planet is unhabitable because either too hot or too cold. Or other factors such as wars and environmental destruction.
