Why are people stocking up on water? Are they worried the water in their sink will become infected?
- Well after the Corona beer fiasco...grafician
- They’re worried in a total lock down the water plant workers will either all be ill or unable to get to the water plant.shapesalad

- "Trump's claim tonight that health insurers "have agreed to waive all copayments for coronavirus treatments" seems to be news to them.
“For testing."grafician - "“For testing. Not for treatment.” a spokesperson for the major insurance lobby AHIP says."grafician
- so you get money for tests only, if you test positive, prayers!grafician
- This is not by Trump. This was a well-written message put together by smarter-than-him people. Obvi. This letter could have been read by Obama, or any1 else.Krassy

If we’re were ever invaded by aliens they wouldn’t send down motherships and weird alien pilots to battle will smith, they’d more than likely send down a virus to whipe us out then come and take over.
Just saying.
Also drunk.- 99% accurateBennn
- any sufficiently advanced civilisation that has FTL travel wouldn't even mind invading anything. This thought of invading other civs is just us humans and ourgrafician
- war mind taking over, this scenario is just Europeans taking over the Americas reloadedgrafician
- BUT IF we get contacted this year, they surely will just offer a cure or something, we're just a Type 0 civ and they must be a Type 2 at leastgrafician
- We're ants to them - and just like I do to ants - I clear anything in their path so they can build a better colonygrafician

Officials say coronavirus tests are here. Where are they?
The announcement comes after a series of public health missteps.

I'm away from home on a business trip in new york. After hearing that the NBA postponed the season and a panicked call from my family, i was able to rebook my flight home in the morning. Im planning on getting to the airport 4 hours early. I dont want to be there too early exposed to who knows what at the airport, but i fear the lines and chaos might be at peak capacity. Is 4 hours enough time?
- Noooo Shell be safeeee please!grafician
- I was in meetings today and phones started ringing. People are getting up and going directly to airport to get home before airports shutdown (including me)epic_rim
- Won't most people be avoiding air travel right now?yuekit
- That’s what I thought yuekit... I’ve seen nothing but pictures of empty airports.Ramanisky2
- I dont want to fly. But, id rather be home than stranded without resources for who knows how long. Im healthy buy some infected might feel the same. ( -___- )shellie
- Oh yeah totally understandable...jus... saying you could very well have a short line at the airport.yuekit
- Thats the hope. I have a nonstop flight so i just need to get on my flight and my flight to depart. Feeling some of the late night developments will cause a stishellie
- *stirshellie
- 4hrs seems like too much time. It's just more time at the airport touching things and being around people. I'd go relatively late as it shouldn't be busynb
- If you somehow miss your plane there will be room on the next onenb

I'm not so much worried about coronavirus as much the drastic measures we are doing and shutting everything down.
We don't do this for the regular flu and didn't do it for SARS.
The regular flu probably killed 10k-20k people in the same time corona killed 4.5k worldwide.
- Coronavirus is at least 10 times worse, dude. Stop comparing it to the glu.Krassy
- Ya, stop comparing it to the glu! Stop being being reasonable!Hayoth
- The flu is everywhere and has been circulating in human populations for thousands of years. COVID-19 virus just appeared two months ago and there'syuekit
- still a chance to contain it with drastic measures.yuekit
- @Hayoth so the entire world & especially all experts are fools, but those comparing it to the flu & dismissing it as overreaction are "being reasonable" OK! lolKrassy
- My dudes, this is NOT flu per se, this is killing people right away, for flu we have vaccines and stuff, for this nothing!grafician
- Please don't make make any more flu comparisons, unless you are truly ignorantgrafician
- this basic view is just a worse as rushing out to buy toilet paper.inteliboy
- I really really fucking hate this comparison with flu. it's dumb, and every single person who said that just proves its own stupidity.sted
- If COVID becomes as widespread as the flu, then millions will die. So yeah it's completely baffling.yuekit
- also imagine COVID19 becoming a seasonal illness (like the flu) in case it's not eradicated now in 2020.uan
- Comparing to the flu is not stupid. It’s accurate. And this virus doesn’t kill any differently.monospaced
- pff. yes it does, 3x more reproductive than flu and the load it puts on your body is 10x, and see how the mortality rate is growing.sted
- That’s not true though. We won’t know real percentages for a very long time. It appears high because there are probably countless undiagnosedmonospaced
- The load on the body is the same. Even less as it doesn’t even seem to hurt young people at all.monospaced
- just think about what does "countless undiagnosed" means in this logic. those percentages we anticipated underestimated the capabilities of this virus...sted
