United Nations, world leaders condemn USA decision as "backwards"
“Sexual and reproductive health and rights are the foundation of a life of choice, empowerment and equality for the world’s women and girls,” the secretary-general’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters on Friday.
World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said he expected more of the United State when it came to the protection of women’s rights.

- some far-right is fishing for votes. they go with any counter-opinion available to get elected and get political power. I don't think she has any chance in DE.uan
- The AfD are basically Nazis aren't they? Just found it funny they are the only ones praising it...yuekit
- they are a conglomerate of anti positions. Nationalists, conservatives, liberals, conspiracy nuts...they hate on everything, including themselves.uan

In Ireland and Germany, abortion procedures are banned in the majority of cases after 12 weeks.
Italy doesn't allow abortions after 90 days, or just under 13 weeks. France, Austria and Spain have banned the procedure after 14 weeks.
- So they allow abortion then? Good to know...yuekit
- that's how it works...the around 3 month is the compromise society makes between rights of woman and rights of baby.uan
- Omaha struggles with basic human biology on a regular basis.monospaced
- To be clear, NOBODy is advocating for late term abortions at will. It seems to be a huge misconception among conservativesmonospaced
- Problem is we have states banning abortion after 2 weeks!!!! Most don’t know they’re pregnant at all at that point. Insane.monospaced
- No it's worse than that -- it's totally banned now in some states.yuekit
- "Map showing US states where abortions will likely become illegal"
https://twitter.com/…grafician - I know ukit it’s insane. So many lives ruinedmonospaced
- many abortion happy states have it set at 20-24 weeks. my friend's daughter was a preemie at 24 weeks - now a healthy 8 year old.pr2
- Yes many states allow abortion. 21 weeks isn’t late term. You anecdote about a premie is, of course, irrelevant just like your fucked brain.monospaced
- mono, the abortion should be legal when fetus shows no brain activity, so brain-dead imbeciles like you would never have to suffer.pr2
- I agree abortions should also be legal when the baby has major deformations. Problem with your comment is that I'm actually a very intelligent person.monospaced
- I suppose only a fucktard like you could accidentally make the case for abortion while attempting and failing to insult. Classic pr2 being an idiot.monospaced
- Funny thing is that you think you're insulting me, but you're just bolstering your own position as the most hated person on QBN. Also the most stupid.monospaced
- literally nobody here backs you upmonospaced

- Wouldn’t do that much to change their minds. Anti-abortion people incl men are usually only anti-abortion until they need one.nb
- Yup.monospaced

Illinois Republican tells Trump rally that Roe verdict a ‘victory for white life’

- So this is about secular atheists. Wow.monospaced
- Also there’s a conservative idea that people should have more kids so that america has enough people and doesn’t need to resort to immigrationnb
- Christians are awful peoplenb
- yuekit6
The reality however is this...
66% of Americans wanted to keep Roe, 34% wanted it overturned.
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/06/…
In 2020 47% of Americans said they belonged to a church, down from 70% in 1999.
https://www.nbc15.com/2022/04/19…
Religion is in decline in America and what this decision actually represented was the victory of an extremist minority who managed to capture the Supreme Court thanks to their alliance with the GOP.
- Your facts are true, but the Supreme Court did not mention religion. They overturned this entirely based on legal opinion, not religious opinion.nb
- So, like, I’m with you, but we all need to accept that your argument is valid but it will never achieve the goal of getting women their rights backnb
- @nb, they don’t mention religion but that is undeniably the motivating force behind the entire thing. No question at allmonospaced
- Religion itself is a huge party line indicator. Far right thinking is inseparable from extreme Christian rhetoric. The two go hand im hand.monospaced
- Ok but if you make that argument they will simply point to the SC written opinion and you lose the debate.nb
- We have to fight smarter than that.nb
- 60-70% of Americans were against overturning Roe, so who are we trying to convince? It's more about calling out the people who did this...yuekit
- The GOP has had a decades-long project to stack the court with right-wing extremists. They did this largely to get evangelical Christians to vote for them.yuekit
- Earlier Supreme Courts reaffirmed Roe, only this extreme SC packed with religious fundamentalists was willing to overturn it.yuekit
- Exactly. I lose no debate. It isn’t a debate. The SC has a Christian stance that is not welcome or allowed.monospaced
