- Might be just me but I cringed the whole way through.scruffics
- Watched it yesterday. The end is funny, the rest is a bit too posed and too cliché (like the woman catching the laundry basket). Jumping from roof was fun.SimonFFM
- @scruffics not just you. As a bmxer, all mountain bikers and trials types are kooks to me.garbage
- i mean, i don't do BMX or anything like that but i did land a kickflip less than 15 years ago. that's enough to let me have an opinion on this, right? :)scruffics
- lol most certainly, especially when your opinoin is spot on.garbage
- @scruffics that justifies everything :)sted

Got an email from my kids' daycare today that they are looking to figure out how to open on June 1st with class sizes of 10 max.
Immediate excitement shifted too... uh, yeah, no way. First off, I'm too uncertain about the virus still, too nervous about not knowing how strangers and their kids are managing their hygiene, and frankly, we're saving $3K a month by them staying home, and that's kind of nice. Don't have to dip into savings much, gives my wife a bit of a cushion as she evolves in a new job (recruiter, 100% commission based) and she's at least 4-5 months away from income really starting. We expected this, just didn't expect this crisis.
I'm so torn, truly. I'm getting angry lately that my kids are without their friends and teachers, and that their behavior is regressing, they're acting out more, etc. They don't have any structure.
But summer is almost here, we're getting a fence soon and then some more backyard updates and outside time will be a lot easier.
Life would be better if they were in daycare, but not if it risks their life or ours. :(
- ...or the lives of others :(Krassy
- lol @ "..don't have any structure"
yea, that damn parental responsibility!futurefood - Futurefood, are you a parent?mg33
- Agree mg33 - keeping our boys home hopefully if we can push it until augumbee54
- Hear you on the no structure . We’ll get thru this. Better safe than having them get illumbee54
- We are keeping the kids home from school until both of us need to go back to work. Schools open on the 9th of June here in Melbourne, I might see how it goes.slappy

I don't want to wear nice clothes around the house but I've run out of beat up tees and sweats and don't feel like doing laundry.

Picking up on mg33's comment (and not directed at him or anyone). I think quite a lot of people are quietly going to miss the current situation as lockdowns get lifted.
Back to work but with a lingering fear, no socialising, no restaurants, gigs and pubs - but the government tracks where you do go. And anywhere nice outside is going to be absolutely full of cunts - especially compared to the peace and quiet we're now used to.
- obviously not universal - lots of people equally desperate for it to end for all sorts of reasons.Fax_Benson
- I agree...I can't see myself going to any restaurants, bars or events for the foreseeable future.utopian
- I usually work from home... I just want my girlfriend to go back to work :Dkingsteven

- Honestly, I don't want it to stop. I grew to like the quiet and the pace of life. My natural misanthropy and nihilism contributes a fair bit to that sentiment.Continuity
- Just become a freelancer/independe... contractor in whatever line of work you're in...you can easily live like this forever.yuekit
- It actually surprises me how new a concept working remotely is for a lot of people.yuekit
- Working remotely is fine if it's on the terms you decide. Forced working from home with two kids around, fearful of your income, is TOUGH.DaveO

Somehow I've settled in very well to to this life in the last couple weeks. Anxiety chest pains are gone, the news doesn't shock me anymore and most of it seems like a waste of time. Family is doing OK, weather is getting nice, started exercising again and busy with some fun projects at work.
Keepin' on keepin' on.
