Here comes the shit
Spokesman Igor Konasenkov said they knew the Ukrainian air force could use portraits from several neighboring countries, for example, they had certain information that Ukrainian fighter jets had been allowed into Romanian airspace and "other border countries". According to Konasenkov, this can also be understood as the countries involved in the military conflict.
Konasenkov claims that the Russian army today destroyed the Ukrainian Air Force Vinnitsa air base and shot down 3 Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jets. "We have virtually destroyed the entire combat-ready air fleet of the Kiev regime," the spokesman said. The credibility of his words is somewhat diminished by the fact that the same was announced on the first day of the invasion.
The spokesman said Russian troops had found evidence that the Ukrainians, with the support of the U.S. Department of Defense, had developed biological weapons using anthrax, cholera and other pathogens. According to Putin, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health issued a circular order to destroy the incriminating evidence, that is, viruses and bacteria.
Konasenkov said the Russian army will deal with precision strikes on some of the plants in the “Ukrainian military-industrial complex” in the near future, so it warns workers at these factories in advance.
- my question is
why not go all in and mention the rona?sted - remember Igor:
https://assets.4cdn.…sted - meanwhile russian terrorist invaders shoot at a 2nd NPP and take it over.shapesalad
- This gives cover for the introduction of anthrax, cholera and other pathogens onto the battlefield as a supposed ‘lab leak’. Yikes.monNom
- A Cholera outbreak's a given in at least some Ukrainian cities at this point, I fear.Nairn

What is the difference between:
Putin as a leader ordering his military to bomb, kill in Ukraine.
The Leaders of terrorist groups like ISIS, convincing followers to bomb and kill in Paris, London etc.
Seems like it is the same act.

war sucks and i hate everything to do with what's going on right now, but it is fucking mind boggling how much the US is into this shit.
first the "it is unacceptable to invade a sovereign nation that has done nothing wrong"
then treating putin like he's trying to be some sort of hitler meets alexander the great
and then the media being all sprung they can finally write about a war that we didn't start so their bullshit won't offend any of the mainstream electorate
plus hillary clinton talking about how after we gave afghanistan weapons decades ago to stand up to russia, the russians lost. she never did mention the part it gave bin laden the training to fight the US but hey, maybe she's just forgotten about 9/11
- except that it isn't just the US.
@colin there were no people on the streets of Budapest last night and it's a Saturday night.sted - you can feel that people are scared.
it's hard to understand if you aren't from a country what got burned so many times...sted - US is still the biggest supporter of NATO, Ukraine asked for help from the NATO. If they interfere directly we are at WW2, so everybody is doing asted
- "passive exercise" and trying to help in ways that doesn't involves official NATO or US troops on the ground or in the air.sted
- We are not naive, we understand the role of the West in this mess. But it's ultimately Putin that pulled the trigger.palimpsest
- I tell you this as I listen to a John Mearsheimer talk on Ukraine.palimpsest
- I still couldn't listen through that speech. I can't agree with some of the things he is saying, like he is ignoring the fact that the collision zone would bested
- closer to western europe if ukraine doesn't moves to the western side of the ledger...sted
- Ukraine has the right to choose whatever side they want to choose. Just as Cuba did in his comparaison.palimpsest
- I assume sted and I are talking about Mearsheimer.
If so, good on you for following a conversation thread, sted.palimpsest - Is that worth the watch, Palimpsest? It's been on my Watch Later list for a week or so now, but an hour and a quarter's a lot to dedicate...Nairn

Have any of you lot who might be heavy Twitter or FB (/etc) users noticed the oft-reported drop in negative political discourse - including pro-Trucker/Trump/etc posts - since Russia started to become electronically ringfenced?
I don't use those platforms in any substantial sense, so I have no handle on whether or not there is a downturn in such posts, or whether it's just some idealised propaganda from our side.
.
Amusingly, wasn't it Ukraine that was getting blamed for this sort of shit during Trump's tenure?

Lots of bots in any relevant post on twitter
haven't checked reddit or other forums thografician - What I notice is a surprisingly huge disparity in the quality of propaganda, and not at all in favour of Russia. Internally, it's hermetically sealed. Outside..Nairn
- ..of Russia, I'm getting the impression they're totally overwhelmed and their blunt format is entirely unsophisticated.Nairn
- Which makes their supposed engagemnt with US politics over recent years surprising/perplexin...Nairn
- ...although I suppose they were targetting 'Lowest common denominator idiots' with hugely vested self-interests.Nairn
- Yeah, there was some data showing as much, posted yesterday. I'll see if I can find itFax_Benson

- Wait. Did Milan go offline after Western internet restrictions on Russia? Lol.
(I'm kidding, I don't at all think Milan's some Russian sockpuppet)Nairn

Assuming we get out of this, we should have a global collective kumbaya and collect together all the world's nuclear arsenal, give each country precisely one nuke, then put the rest of the stuff on the moon, in case we need it someday.
- Well, exept Iran, because we know wtf they'd do with that on day one.
And Belgium.Nairn - germans?uan
- We know who would gerrymander the fuck out of that dealpalimpsest
- @palimpsest - haha, very good, yes. Drat.
@uan - I'd be surprised if Germany were not genuinely <5 years off being able to wield a nuke, as things stand.Nairn - everyone can be oppenheimerneverscared

As part of all this shit, I learned of a Slavic phrase along the lines of "painting the snow green", to imply that people are trying to look busy and effective when the boss comes around (in relation here to the failings of the Russian military command structure).
Well, today in St Petersburg, they're actually almost-literally doing as much... ("нет войне " = "no to war")

- 2nd one is a promo video what was labeled as anti-facist by the rassans (its everything BUT anti)
what is the rest?sted - A RUSSIAN gymnast caused outrage after wearing a pro-war 'Z' symbol while sharing a podium with a Ukrainian athlete at an event in Doha.sted
- Saw this earlier and it answered why Russian units had swapped over white arm(etc)bands to Red and Yellow, which represents the order of St GeorgeNairn
