The football player of the national team of Ukraine Mykhailo Mudryk moved from Shakhtar to Chelsea. The transaction price is 100 million euros.
Rinat Akhmetov said that $ 25 million from the sale of the famous player will go to help the defenders of Mariupol and their families.

Ukraine's internal affairs leadership died in a helicopter crash.Looks like a response to previous acts of sabotage on rassan soil.
- I think the word you're looking for is "terrorism".Khurram
- Khurram you are so smart. Please tell me what is the difference between terrorism and sabotage?sted
- I would love to see how you can argue without using google or any tool, only with your own thoughts.sted
- Sometimes there is just chaos, like all war is. Could be shot down by their owndrgs
- calm down. what's wrong with terrorism?Khurram
- Sabotage just sounds so.... i dunno, a bit sanguine? Maybe that's just my subjective feeling towards, and what do words matter anywayKhurram
- Point is, helicopter got sabotaged.Khurram
- in a terroristic fashion lolKhurram
- Actually, let me have another go at that...
Terrorism is what THEY do, what we do is "sabotage" 8-) kthxbai xKhurram - the difference is at the impact not the perpetratorsted
- "calm down. what's wrong with terrorism?" well its fundamental purpose is to intimidate the civilian population (in a very cowardly way)sted
- @drgs yeah during a very unfortunate accident the internal affairs leadership of a country at war crashes into a fucking kindergarten and dies.sted
- Well fine "sabotage", whatever you wanna call it, either way, the picture is looking very bleak for Ukraine.Khurram
- So much so that the US has forced its client state Israel to give up the vast secret stash of weaponary it's been hoarding there..Khurram
- https://www.nytimes.…Khurram
- Things must be getting desperate over there that the US is resorting to raiding their Israeli-held supplies of artillery,Khurram
- Which it uses primarily to dominate and subdue the wider middle eastern region...Khurram
- That at least is one bit of good news, I mean from the point of view of someone like me, drag the Israelis into this and exhaust their weaponery too.Khurram
- This might all turn out great, when everything shakes out, for certain people's in certain pats of the world!Khurram
- Not for Ukraine though, I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how much that country means to most of you *hugs*Khurram
- Khurram, don't be a cunt. Russian started the war and invaded Ukraine.NBQ00
- lol@secret stash :D oh man I don't even understand why you don't think about what you write :Dsted
- the double standard you apply is interesting, I mean, it could be less cynical.sted
- that's just they way you are. In fact, I am against any war or violent conflict resolution and that our Benji boy is a real fuckface.sted
- but that doesn't makes me hate all Israelis and wish them dead or long to hug Palestinians...sted
- Uh, can you elaborate a bit? You throw things then disappear... Did you read the NYT article?Khurram
- "The Pentagon is tapping into a vast but little-known stockpile of American ammunition in Israel to help meet Ukraine’s dire need for artillery shells in the...Khurram
- war with Russia, American and Israeli officials say.
The stockpile provides arms and ammunition for the Pentagon to use in Middle East conflicts.Khurram - The United States has also allowed Israel to access the supplies in emergencies." - NYT January 17, 2023Khurram
- So... come again?Khurram
- I am pretty cynical though, you're right. One of my major flaws. I'm a pessimist by nature, but that's ok. My cynicism I should probably confront, buutt....Khurram
- the mountain of stomach turning hypocrisy I see amongst you here and among your subservient media makes me want to vomit. Don't know how else to react.Khurram
- little-known does not equals secret :)
during the withdrawal from Iraq, it was known where some of these weapons would land and whysted - every time somebody writes "secret" on the internet makes me giggle, it isn't a secret when millions of people share it :)sted
- i hope we can agree on that :Dsted
- "your subservient media" what kind of assumption is this again and who the fuck you think you are calling me a hypocrite? nobody.just read your previous notessted
- you are explaining the higher morality here while wishing the death of others. what a trash of a personality you must have.sted
- oh well i was just going to answer you earnestly but if you're going to lower yourself to that... I'll take my leave xKhurram
- The issue is just producing enough ammunition and other supplies quickly enough. So yes they transfer stocks from Israel and Korea, these stocks willyuekit
- then obviously be replenished as soon as they can produce them. Russia meanwhile is now relying on North Korea to provide weapons.yuekit
- Israel is closer to Russia than USA, particularly the new far-right government, so they refuse to directly supply Ukraine.yuekit
- Closer to Russia??? Netanyahu is closer to Russia than the US??? You're off your head mate lolKhurram
- More closely aligned with Russia than the USA is, which is why they're not openly proving Ukraine with military support.yuekit
- And yes the new fascist coalition government is more sympathetic towards Putin, as you might expect.yuekit
- bwhaha. OK man, you're clearly an expert. A country and government that owes its existence to the US is more closely aligned with Russia and it's war aims.Khurram
- Netanyahu is closer to Russia and Putin than the USA and Biden are, I don't know what's controversial about that.yuekit
- "Inside Netanyahu's Strange Loyalty to Putin"
https://archive.is/J…yuekit - Because you're flat wrong and stupid speaking out of ignorance. As is your understanding of history.Khurram
- You don't think Netanyahu is closer to Putin, than Biden is close to Putin? I'm spelling it out very carefully here so you can understand...yuekit
- It's not a very bar given the history between Russia and the Democrats.yuekit
- I don't no, you are literally talking out of your arse.Khurram
- Israel's only fear is Russia will prevent them carte blanche bombing Syria which they could do by closing their air space over there.Khurram
- Many i can't even bothered with you, you're running circles in multiple arguments here.Khurram
- You're just ignoring reality, Netanyahu and Putin are friends. Sorry to shatter your illusions...yuekit
- https://www.timesofi…yuekit
- Well that's all the evidence I need lolKhurram
- Case closed!Khurram
- You went from "Israel is closer to Russia than it is to the US" to "Netanyahu and Putin are friends". That's so cute!Khurram
- This is like trying to tell a kid Santa Claus isn't real. Turns out Putin is working with the same government you hateyuekit
- Of course he is. It's called diplomacy. Are you stupid?Khurram
- Let me correct you. It's not the government i hate. It's the country.Khurram
- and why would i care...Khurram
- "Bawhahaha"
https://static.dw.co…yuekit - Dude come on, this is getting silly. you're just trying to taunt me now lolKhurram
- OK I concede, you win the internet. And get a life.Khurram
- All that "patience of a saint" internet persona you had going on just fell apart. Damn you must be frustrated. Somewhere deep down, really really frustrated.Khurram
- You thought you could win an internet argument on the merits of your discourse alone. And here you are spamming me with out of context pictures from god knows wKhurram
- when.Khurram
- Just messing around. Regarding that link you posted, this is interesting...I vaguely remember "Naked Capitalism" from the early days of blogging. Didn't realizeyuekit

In March 2022 Russia controlled around 25% of Ukraine's territory, by the end of 2022 they controlled 15%.
https://www.lemonde.fr/en/les-de…
Maybe it's 15.1% after they won control of some towns recently (more updated map above) but you have to wonder what the endgame is here. How much more effort, military resources and people killed will it take Russia just to get back to where they were in early 2022?
And what's the long-term plan? If the intent is to hold on to the Donbas, that basically just means perpetual war. Ukraine is never going to cede territory to Russia that is deemed an illegal land grab under international law.
Even if Russia succeeded in their maximalist aims of literally taking over the entire country of Ukraine, what happens then? Wouldn't Russia need to devote massive resources to ruling over tens of millions of people who hate them?
You can already predict that years from now, maybe after Putin dies, this war will be deemed a failure by Russia -- just like the Iraq War for USA but with worse consequences since Russia's position in the world is weaker. It should be possible to realize this today but the problem is really the lack of free media, lack of independent thinking, among Russia and its overseas supporters.
- they are on the path of starting a new offensive, the next 2 months will be critical.
killing the bodies of internal affairs opens a path to to a much greatersted - political victory which will fundamentally determine the outcome of the war.sted
- What's a realistic and sustainable outcome for Russia though? I don't see it.yuekit
- Try asking any Putin supporter, you'll never get a coherent answer. For people outside Russia who support the war, no one seems to actually care or think aboutyuekit
- this. They're basically fighting America to the last Russian, but there's no way you can even conceivably defeat USA or NATO via the current conflict.yuekit

"things like this article" :)sted - They're not fighting America, that's such an assanine reframing. Not a single American troop is involved in any of this. Americans are supplying command andKhurram

- beg the "west" for more arms. It's a pretty desperate dire situation over tehre.Khurram
- Free media? The "might" of the Ukranian army aligned with NATO and all their allies just got routed by a ragtag bunch of mercenaries,Khurram
- a pretty catastrophic setback for Ukranian forces and your media is acting like it was actually a strategic failure for the Russians. It's like you're living inKhurram
- a parallel universe with all your media pumping out incessant war propaganda.Khurram
- It'll be easy for them to hold onto Eastern Ukraine, they have massive support in that region, and in case you haven't noticed, they are pretty firmly inKhurram
- control over there with the Ukranian forces engaged in "clean up" operations murdering, purging and torutring pro-Russians elements in territories they'veKhurram

- Maybe you're right Continuity, they even still censor and repress the fact that the USSR did a deal with Hitler. I meant the leadership tacitly acknowledges ityuekit
- and scales down the war effort. It could also happen out of necessity where Russia's hand is forced as they confront other crises.yuekit
- @Khurram, like I said maybe it's 15.1% now. I'm not denying they took that town, but it is a town population 10,000 people. And that is Russia's only victory inyuekit
- the past half year. And it wasn't even done by the Russian military lolyuekit
- You can try to frame it like they're underdogs but this was supposed to be the second most powerful military on Earth. 25% to 15% control in the past year.yuekit
- I think it would be quite a challenge for them to subdue the entire country of Ukraine. The whole society has been mobilized in the war, will they justyuekit
- give up? Would Russia, which has stumbled so badly during the attempted invasion, be able to run the country?yuekit
- That deal was done after Stalin was repeatedly rebuked by the West to take the threat of Hitler seriously. It was designed to buy him time so Russia couldKhurram
- prepare for the inevitable war against Germany that was to come.Khurram
- Maybe you don't know your history, but the "west", including the US, sent an army into Russia after the October revolution, while WW1 was still ragingKhurram

- Unprovoked invasion of Russia by "the whites". You're so simple.Khurram
- There were only a few thousand troops in Russia, and this was during WW1 so it wasn't really to destroy Russia.yuekit
- They did side with the anti-Communists during the Russian civil war but such a small number of soldiers wasn't going to make a huge difference.yuekit
- Oh no, those troops weren't there to destroy the Bolshevik government at all, it was all just a misunderstanding lolKhurram

Interview with ChatGTP
Can you speak on war?
War is a large-scale, organized armed conflict between different nations or different groups within a nation. It typically involves the use of weapons and results in significant loss of life and destruction. The causes of war can be varied, including disputes over resources, territory, ideology, or power. War can have long-lasting and far-reaching effects on individuals, communities, and entire societies.
-
In a war with Russia, how could the Ukraine win?
It would be difficult for Ukraine to win a war against Russia, as Russia is a much larger and more powerful country with a more developed military. However, there are a few strategies that Ukraine could potentially use to improve its chances of success.
One strategy would be to use guerrilla warfare tactics, such as hit-and-run attacks and asymmetric warfare, to disrupt and wear down the Russian military. Ukraine could also try to build an alliance with other countries, particularly those with strong militaries, in order to gain more support and resources.
Another strategy would be to use cyber-warfare and electronic warfare to disable or disrupt Russia's military communication and command systems, making it difficult for Russia to coordinate its military operations.
Additionally, Ukraine could focus on securing and fortifying its borders and key cities, making it difficult for Russian forces to gain a foothold in the country.
It's worth noting that war is a destructive and violent means of resolving conflicts, it should be avoided as much as possible. Diplomatic and peaceful means are preferable.
-
Can you expound?
Sure, let me expand on some of the strategies I mentioned earlier:
Guerrilla warfare: This tactic involves using small, mobile units to launch surprise attacks on the enemy, and then quickly withdrawing before they can be counterattacked. Guerrilla fighters typically operate in areas where the enemy is not expecting them, such as in forests, mountains, or urban areas. By using this tactic, Ukraine could make it difficult for Russia to maintain control over the territory and could wear down the Russian military over time.
Building alliances: Ukraine could try to build alliances with other countries, particularly those with strong militaries, in order to gain more support and resources. This could involve forming a coalition of countries that would be willing to provide military support, such as troops or equipment, to Ukraine in the event of a war with Russia. Additionally, Ukraine could try to gain the support of international organizations such as the United Nations or NATO, which could provide diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia.
Cyber warfare: Ukraine could use cyber-warfare tactics to disrupt or disable Russia's military communication and command systems. This could involve launching cyber-attacks on Russian military networks, or using electronic warfare to jam or interfere with Russian military communications. By doing so, Ukraine could make it difficult for Russia to coordinate its military operations and could potentially gain an advantage in the battlefield.
Securing and fortifying: Ukraine could focus on securing and fortifying its borders and key cities, such as Kiev, to make it difficult for Russian forces to gain a foothold in the country. This could involve building fortifications, such as bunkers and trenches, as well as deploying troops and military equipment to key locations. Additionally, Ukraine could try to pre-position supplies and equipment in strategic locations, so that they can be quickly and easily moved to where they are needed.
It's important to remember that winning a war is not only about military power, but also about the political and economic factors. Diplomatic efforts, economic sanctions, and international pressure can also play a significant role in the outcome of a war.

South Africa’s support underscores Moscow’s propaganda success
Pretoria’s shifting position reveals Kremlin’s success in stoking doubt about responsibility for Ukraine war

South Africa’s foreign minister was all smiles this week as she hosted Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov for the first time since Russia invaded Ukraine.
Naledi Pandor said her government, nominally neutral in the conflict, was now less inclined to criticise Moscow due to the west’s supply of battle tanks to Kyiv. A repeat of the call South Africa made early in the war for a Russian withdrawal from Ukraine would be “simplistic and infantile, given the massive transfer of arms that’s occurred” since, she said at a briefing, with Lavrov beaming on.
