Have they been borrowing scenes from Star Wars recently or am I seeing things?
- No biggie:
https://www.youtube.…utopian - The showrunners are actually going to produce the next Star Wars films - so probably not a bad theory.antimotion
- Lucas directed the first scene of Jon on a dragon, where they go to a waterfall to bone.i_monk

- Cool story you two.BabySnakes
- It's a good show. People are just whining. Worth the watch for sure. The ending is not unexpected either, maybe rushed but expected.Boz
- When I say rushed I mean the last season specifically but still it's ok. The fights and battles are great and story is most likely end the way it was expected.Boz
- I think the biggest issue they had is that the books were never really completed so they had to wing it. Still one of the better shows I've watched.Boz
- Breaking Bad will always be numero uno.Boz
- yea Breaking Bad rulesdrgs

I think I was the only one in the bar cheering for Danny wrecking King's Landing. LOL. Go girl!
- yeah basically - when in doubt, dragonfire :)helloeatbreathedrive
- You watch that in a bar?pango
- ^ lolhelloeatbreathedrive
- Yup. Lots of people are totally fine with genocide. Burnt child corpses! Fuck yeah!CyBrainX
- here is the thing. King’s Landing was shown in the show really as Sodom and Gomorrah. I think it was even written that way. Rape, murder etc etcBoz
- the things even people living there did, cheering decapitation of Ned Stark and many other things showed how bad that place was. Danny was likeBoz
- We need a clean slate here.Boz
- Oh and it’s a show, no children were harmed by dragon fire ;)Boz
- im just surprised people watch tv show in a bar.... didn't know its a thing.pango

So the king of the six kingdoms is going to be not from the six kingdoms? I bet the people will love that.
Man this was a big let down. Did they try to pick the one ending that no one would have ever guessed?
No one ever saw Danny's body. As far as anyone would know she just disappeared along with her dragon...

Also, I wish my work meetings were as quick and agreeable as the one they held to:
- decide to choose a new King all of a sudden
- choose a new king unanimously
- decide Winterfell can be independent
- and pick a new, unprecedented system of government for the rest of timePretty good meeting! Donuts anyone?

Well. That's just lazy writing...
- deathboy-1
episode was full of individualistic politics, and john snow so know nothing and slow on the uptake. boring and a bit less than expected.
Hard to conclude such a series quickly in any other way. The best moment for me is tyrian being the hand trying to organize chairs like it matters, and guests not giving a fuck. Than king arrives and asks about dragons (what most ppl liked) no one sure... and like fuck it ill find him myself. A little piss and squabble and tyrion saying we'll do better next time.... I cant help but think a little bit of the writers were writing their apology in that scene and promising better results in the next GOT prequel or offspring

Well, that was just like the rest of season 8: rushed, undercooked and left a general feeling of a missed opportunity.
I saw this on the BBC site, taking a bit of criticism from Forbes:
'Erik Kain of Forbes writing: "I think the finale's flaws were mainly born out of rush.
"All of this could have been earned; very little of it was." He said Daenerys Targaryen's storyline this season was "far too hurried to work properly, but given the right amount of time and TLC, it could have been one of TV's most incredible character arcs".'
And I think that's it in a nutshell. The whole season (maybe final two seasons) is not just about how bad it's been but more importantly, how good it could have been. There's nothing wrong with how
I've seen people saying that there has been too much whinging about this run of 6 episodes but I think the griping has been entirely reasonable. For me it's not just about how poor the writing has been; but also how good this show was for the first five or six seasons. If the quality of writing had remained as high as it once was then the storylines could have been executed without any major changes and felt entirely satisfying.
