Every piece of shit Chevy comes equipped with GPS / on star how hard is it to equip these planes with a GPS that can't be turned off?
- My theory is the plane was hacked.yurimon
- Every person on the plane had a gps tracking device on them. Perhaps more with the new passportsmonospaced

I smell a movie in the making...someone is working on securing the rights.
It is so bizarre a $250mill plane and hundreds of people, presumably all with cell phones, can just vanish.

Missing Malaysia Airlines plane 'deliberately diverted'
- that brings about the theory that the Chinese took the plane to de-engineer the technology.yurimon
- ...a theory immediately discounted by 104% of people who heard it and devoted 3 brain cells to it.
mikotondria3 - oh please. come back when you find out what happened.yurimon
- Why hijack and reverse engineer when you can just buy them? http://boeing.mediar…IRNlun6
- the battery technology could be worth trillions.teh
- good point on the buying...yurimon

If the passengers are still alive, I hope they aren't suffering too much :(
- From 45k feet to 20k feet - it seems likely that they might not have lived long.monkeyshine
- pf you have a good heart.sea_sea

I'm leaving these here for the ones who want to construct their very own theory.

- It's weird that the MSM has not mentioned a word of this, yet they run rampant with every other speculative theory 24/7.mg33
- ...because the patent holders were not actually on the plane, it's nonsense.kingsteven
- if those people were on there you would think they would have a private plane.teh
- the patent aspect is very interesting. How much $$ is the patent situation we are talking about..yurimon
- lol @ "the Rothschilds did it"ukit2

wow this story keeps getting better and stranger, one of the passengers on the plane was listed as D.B Cooper.
- CygnusZero40
Im pretty sure some group is outfitting this plane with a nuclear weapon as we speak, and the passengers are either hostages or have been executed.
- OR.. they will hold the passengers as human shields. Force the USA to shoot it down, with passengers.ghandolf
- CygnusZero40
These fuckers know they cant hijack planes like they did on 9-11 anymore. Doors are thicker, have deadbolts, they cant get real weapons on the planes anymore.
New tactic: Get to the pilots before the flight takes place, threaten to kill their families if they dont comply with where they want this plane delivered to. Now the terrorists have a mobile weapon that they have full control of.
- If its a military operation, its possible. in order to hijack, you can also have to know how to fly the planeyurimon
- You can rely on the pilot unless he is part of the hijack... but who knowsyurimon
- er cantyurimon
- Yes im saying he may have been forced to do this.CygnusZero4

What are the chances the plane could've made it to Somalia or Yemen?
- tank020
The plane had a huge technical failure. The pilot with his extensive experience flew the plane fully manual and diverted for an emergency landing, but he was flying blind and crashed in his attempt to save everybody. Less 'sexy' than all the plotting but probably the truth.
- It was flying for over 5 hours after the lefthand turn. That tells me this was deliberate.CygnusZero4
- Yeah he may have deliberately tried to turn back with little to no instruments or comms.ETM
- CygnusZero40
Plus both reporting systems were turned off, 20 mins apart, BEFORE the pilot says ok goodnight to air traffic controllers. Right before the handoff to vietnam, then it followed waypoints for hours to the west. Clearly not a technical problem with the plane.
And if it were pilot suicide, why would they bother flying so far? When the egypt air copilot too that plane down he wasted no time bc there wouldnt be a reason to wait. Sounds like a terrorist operation that was carefully planned.
- monkeyshine0
You might be right, Tank but no data suggests there were issues with the plane. If I remember correctly, I read that the France flight did relay data that something was wrong with the plane.
- CygnusZero40
The fact that both systems went off 20 mins apart says that they were turned off. Experts are saying a technical problem would have shut them off at the same time. An electrical failure would have had both of them off together immediately. That why this turned into a criminal investigation. Apparently its impossible for them to turn off 20 mins apart unless it was done manually.

Wha about cell phones. Can't those be geotracked? There must be 200+ gps enabled devices on that plane.
- There no cell service on planes tho right? Or someone on the plane rounded them up, maybe destroyed them. Who knows.CygnusZero4
- we got cell calls on Flight 93....something very odd about the consistency hereformed
- Those were those air phones. They could have been turned off on this plane.CygnusZero4
- I don't think it's about service. And eventually, won't the phones work once on the ground somehwere? I think that the GPS devices are still trackable.monospaced
- CygnusZero40
They said the plane too a very specific zigzagging route to avoid radar detection.
- *tookCygnusZero4
- Who said?eoin
- Have you been watching the news? Search flight 370 waypoints. It was following them to the west.CygnusZero4

so it looks like we need SkyNet to be able to control all the planes, from a central computer, just in case the pilots decide to do something erratic (whether it be suicide or forced to fly elsewhere).
Looks like another reason to centralize power, give it all to 'big gov't', as Bush so successfully did post 911.
(it we are going conspiracy, might as well go big! Maybe they'll "land" somewhere we want to invade)
- _niko0
So I'm guessing that the ability to deactivate the tracking systems is a safeguard in the event of hostilities while in the air, to try and save the plane and passengers from danger (plane being shot down from the ground or air), but it this case it worked against them.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't
- I don't see how/why you would ever shut off communications..???formed
- me either but let's just say a rogue state declares war on the world, and they shoot down a plane in their airspace, and threaten to_niko
- ...threaten to shoot down more, any pilot in the area should have the ability to shut off their tracking devices and fly under the radar_niko
- ...the radar until they get to safety i would imagine._niko
- Pretty obvious. When you dont want to be found.CygnusZero4
- CygnusZero40
Expert on the 777 on cnn just said its totally impossible for 2 communications systems on this plane to shut off accidentally at different times. Only possible if its done intentionally.
