How to zoom instead of maximize in Yosemite:

Is it safe to update now? Problems with Adobe CS5/CS6/CC or else?

I feel like Apple got shit so right with Yosemite, it's now time for them to go through a multi year cycle of fucking things up again. Just like they did after snow leopard.

installed it on my slow ass MB pro early 2011.
Safari seems cool, Chrome is slow as hell.
Youtube videos dont even show up in the vid of the day thread.I like it, my machine seems faster even.
My only wish is for a unified Google/Apple contact and email system.

^ all okay according to this - apart from the Avid issue

Not had any issues as yet. Though new spotlight isn't as user friendly as they make out...
Everything seems to run a lot faster on my MB Pro. New Safari does look nice but I can't see me moving from chrome still.
Not a huge fan of the icon colours. The flatness doesn't seem to work with the pallet they've gone for. To my eyes anyhow. Though the Dark Mode on menus is actually quite nice.

Installed it, like it so far, seems zippier, especially Safari. There really is no reason to use another browser now, especially since it connects with your other devices so smoothly. Think this browser is just about perfect now.
Had to reinstall Font Explorer Pro (got a fatal bundle modification error) but I'm still on V3 of the software, didn't pay up for the upgraded V4 yet.
Also, ended up having to install an older version of Java so my older CS6 apps would work (it'll throw a prompt up asking you to install though, so you don't have to figure out that yourself). CC apps work fine though.
I really like being able to scale down icons in the side bar (and I think globally, because it appears in Mail's sidebar too), saves a ton of space. REALLY don't like the blue folder icons. WTF is that about?
QT Player is a lot nicer. The transparency works well with the player controls and not covering shit up completely like how their old opaque controls did.

Apple is about three years behind in all aspects of design including: user interface, user experience, typography, flat design, etc... There shit just looks dated and amateurish.
Sir Jonathan Paul "Jony" Ive has his head stuck up his shit pipe.

Apparently Safari and Spotlight send Apple all sorts of data about you:

Just installed. Slowed after effects cc RIGHT down on the RAM preview. Not updated all my CC apps yet though.
