10'000 people watched Robert Burns' coffin travel to its rest, after a pauper's death. Not 6 years older than I am now.
- I would watch your coffin, but in all likelihood won't be alive for it, unless you are very unlucky********

To put it simply:
I need a job. My friend needs money, so he asked if I had any events to shoot, be an assistant to me for money. Thing is: I haven't had any events to shoot for over 7 months.

ah shit, I really can not get this fucking thing written, its driving me batty. I know everything that I want to say, in my head I know what we can do for this company and why it will work. I have worked out eh resource which their budget allows us to commit to the project and how it can be built in such a way as to allow us to extend on that when more budget is available in a logical and comfortable way. I know the angle they will respond to, and the language which will put them into the right frame of mind to enthusiastically give us the go ahead; I even can see in my head what the thing will look like.
But I can't get more than 3 lines into the actual prose I need to write to get it done. I get stuck at the concept of a multi use arts venue and can go no further.
this is even more frustrating than design block; not even getting to the design bit before I'm blocked.

The thing I find about writing is the importance to just write down everything first. Just get everything down on paper. Then reread, then rewrite. Keep doing this till it makes sense. Don't expect the first draft to be right or even to make sense. It'll make what follows much easier. That's what I find anyway, and good luck with it!

- bullet points.
- it's all about the bullet points.
- then just fill in the gaps.
- i haven't written anything properly in years
- kelpie0
I reckon that's how'll I'll have to do it, right enough.
I think maybe if I just leapfrog the bit that's stumping me and go back to it at the end I'll get there.
- used to work for me back in uni.********
- Aye, good idea. Plus once you get some of it done, you'll feel better and it'll be easier to fill the gaps.ian

so, been planning a bit of a road trip for april, and i've just now started to look for the car i want to hire, thinking i should be able to get something nice and vintage for a grand and a half for a week.
this kind of thing...
not so, they all start at about $400-$600 a day.
first world problems though eh.
- Where are you going on your road-trip?NotByHand
- just around california and nevada.********
- i just want to play at being thelma and louise.********
- Ah, nice. You should get a convertible, for sure.NotByHand
- Well, there are lots of lovely cliffs to drive off of in Nevada.NotByHand
- hertz has got a decent assortment of rental convertibles in california. The 'vette is fun — had it last July.********
- yeah, could go modern easy enough, wanted something that steers like a boat though.********
- Trust me, the corvette works best in a straight line.********
- try to find something with more chrome. chrome is the way for you to gokelpie
- doesn't la give you hardcore car envy? that looks great!_salisae_
- haha, yeah, i drive a corolla.********
- skt I reckon you fit a corolla in the trunk of that thing. On the plus side, gas is cheap if you're renting a monster like that.********
