so it is a 'myth' then?
- JazX0
According to some, yes.

You have a very annoying habit of not crediting your sources Jaz. Or is it in the hope that someone will think it you that typed it.
- JazX0
I was quoting a source to prove a point. Not everyone just believes what some scientists spew out as fact. More time is needed to fully understand this. Get it?
- neenaw0
Oh, gee, thanks jaz. Now I get it.
Fud.

all of you shut the fuck up.
your hot breath and hot air is contributing to global warming.
- mrdobolina0
You do know that some of those scientists are on oil and coal company payrolls, right?

(Jan 30 06, 12:34)One can assume so and then there are those that are not. On average right? It goes both ways.
The oceans have a lot to do with it as well. Don't forget we are a watery planet.

great article.
- neenaw0
Even if you disregard the fact that we are quite probably fucking up the planet, do you not think it a little perverse that these energy giants can make such huge profits and at the same time put their prices beyond the reach of millions.
In the last 3 years prices in Britain have risen 50%.
In England it is estimated that by the end of 2007 2 million households will be in fuel poverty.

did Mt. St Helens release more carbon dioxide at one time than the human race will ever be able to. i read that somewhere reliable, just can't remember now.
- JazX0
Now wait, though, I wasn't trying to say that we aren't f*cking up the world. It would be a lot more stable without us regurgitating chemicals and the other negative human endeavors that we do. I'm just stating that 'global warming' is disputed.
The physical rock record shows us higher levels in the past, so that should say something and also wether or not we can trust those measurements. right?

(Jan 30 06, 12:42)Sure, Widescale Vulcanism can do this in a bigtime bad@ss way. It might have been responsible for killing off the Dinosaurs along side with Metorites/Asteroids.

either way we are def going to blow ourselves up.

If Exxon has to pay scientists to refute other independent scientists, who would you believe?

My point is that you should look at all aspects of the evidence, not just the ones you think will support your claim. On both sides of the coin.
I'd still work for Exxon or Shell or BP, they have actually have changed their tune over the last ten years and have become much more accountable. Elf, is still pretty dodgy though.
- Mimio0
They've changed their tune because it's running out and they want to position themselves for a buyout or for "corporate energy conglomeration".
