I want hillary to win so bad,
just like trump, she's exactly what america deserves,
she's placing herself as an outsider, what a joke..http://www.realclearpolitics.com…
“Clearly, I’m not asking people to vote for me simply because I’m a woman. I’m asking people to vote for me on the merits. And I think one of the merits is: I am a woman.”
- Reading too much into the personality or gender of a candidate is a waste of a time.yuekit
- Ultimately President is a figurehead, you are basically electing either the Dem or Republican party. Make yr choice based on that, not whether you like Hillary.yuekit
- can we still call this an election and be honest about it?yurimon
- man, you are one obtuse fellow, so you don't want to read into her character, is her past vote worth your time? stop white knighting for a sec brahGeorgesII
- Yeah actually I think there is too much focus on personality, do you really dispute that? Policies are mostly the same regardless of whether Hillary or Bidendjmix
- is the candidate.djmix
- obviously the 2 major candidates wouldnt qualify for any job! unless its a prison job placement, employment and societal reintegration program.yurimon
- I think we should focus more on their past vote, allegiances, lobbying, but no, let's focus only on that she's a woman.. sighGeorgesII

hey, the patriarchy isn't allowing us to performs well as man in our entry exams.
normal world: work harder
feminist utopia: let's ban examswtf is going on
"As Naomi Wolf recently reminded us, young women consistently receive fewer first-class degrees than men at Oxford University, where I work, even when marking is blind. Meanwhile, Russell Group universities consistently admit a very low proportion of working-class and BME students. There are concerns that the kind of assertive declarations that win middle-class white men firsts also gain them preferment at Oxbridge interviews. There’s an inequality crisis in university admissions and assessment.
What’s to be done? We could spend the next decade, as we have the last, researching and debating this – or we could simply abolish university assessment and entry requirements."

I'm as much to blame, because I never post anything serious in here. But it disappoints me that the discussion of feminism here is only about the crazy fringe of feminism.
Bringing up only the ridiculous stuff undermines any serious consideration of the need for feminism, and what it has to add to our lives as *men.* (Cause let's face it, only men are reading this thread.) For ppl who are already educated in it, maybe it doesn't matter as much to only consider the foolishness, but I'm positive there are guys on this blog that have never read a book about feminism.
If there's a will out there only to defame feminism by equating it to madness, well I would call that misogyny, and counter-productive.
- More female feminists need to step up and shout down the lunatic fringe that's ruining the reputation and validity of feminists/feminism.i_monk
- And make up your minds: it's either "the patriarchy hurts us all" or "delicious men's tears". Can't be both.i_monk
- ^Lulz. "It's feminist's job to shout down the lunatics, because we are far too stupid to recognize lunacy on our own."nb
- Not remotely what I said.i_monk
- need more female to really discuss feminism.pango
- The loudest idiots always get the most attention********
- will the same go for the religion thread?

Carly Fiorina tailgate interrupted by Planned Parenthood supporters
The Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina met with protests as she attended a University of Iowa football game tailgate rally on Saturday.
Those who chanted and held up placards were supporters of Planned Parenthood, the organization at the center of a controversy over videos, which purport to show offering fetal body parts for sale.
“I-O-W-A, women’s rights are here to stay!” shouted one woman – who was dressed as a packet of birth control pills – outside Kinnick Stadium. “Women are watching and we vote!”

The head of Planned Parenthood defended the women's health organization Tuesday before a Republican-run Congress bent on slashing its federal funding, telling lawmakers that accusations against her group fed by stealthily recorded videos are "offensive and categorically untrue."

man girls are their own worst enemies
"
Every woman at some point has compared their looks to another woman. (“I wish I had her hair”, “I want her body”) Sometimes, even I do in my own thoughts although I really try to avoid it (especially with my skin and the fact that I don’t have Venus dimples). But how can we as women ever love and accept ourselves if we’re so busy comparing ourselves to other women? A lot of people blame men for this but in my experience women perpetuate it way more than men do. Women have this mentality that all women are competition and anyone who is “prettier” is deemed a threat. This is how body shaming works. A woman sees a pretty woman and assumes she’s some kind of threat and automatically hates her, calls her a slut, says she’s “really not that pretty”, or any other forms of hatred formed from jealousy."lol Venus Dimples? is that a thing now? like tight gap? FFS.
no venus dimples would not bang lol

Several weeks ago, Google launched Brotli, a new open source compression algorithm for the web. Since then, controversy broke out over the choice of 'bro' as the content encoding type. "We are hoping to establish a file ending .bro for brotli compressed files, a command line tool 'bro' for compressing and uncompressing brotli files, and a accept/content encoding type 'bro'," explained Google software engineer Jyrki Alakuijala. "Can I talk you out of it?," replied Mozilla SW engineer Patrick McManus. "'bro' has a gender problem, even though the dual meaning is unintentional. It comes of[f] misogynistic and unprofessional due to the world it lives in." Despite some pushback from commenters, a GitHub commit made by Google's Zoltan Szabadka shows that there will be no '.bro' in Brotli. "I have asked a feminist friend from the North American culture-sphere, and she advised against bro," explained Alakuijala. "We have found a compromise that satisfies us, so we don't need to discuss this further. Even if we don't understand why people are upset from our cultural standpoint, they would be (unnecessarily) upset and this is enough reason not to use it."
