I gave in and installed Leopard on my birthday. It's pretty nice.
There are things that are annoying though, which will hopefully be fixed soon enough.
Azureus + Airport + Leopard = tons of kernel panics. I'm using Transmission again now.
The top menu bar bothers me. I'd rather have it white (or whatever colour it was before) again. I know there are programs you can download to hack that, but I tried one and it's just not the same. For now I will keep it white using the program entitled, "MenuBar".
I like that Airport tells you which networks are locked.
I also like the look of the new dock, believe it or not. I usually keep it at the bottom but I may experiment this time around. I just changed the dock colour from white to black using a hack.

Some more stuff:
- my trash icon always stays the same. It's the one with paper in it. So it never looks empty, even though it is.
- Since there is no Candybar update yet (at least that's what the program is telling me), there are conflicting icons in the dock and various errors when I try to close something. The worst culprit is Last.fm plugin, which apparently has a fix but it hasn't worked for me yet.

yep I used DockColor to just darken the dock like 30% so its lets glitzy/reflective looking, and the active lights show up more clearly...
Now all we need is a hack to bring back the hierarchial folder menus in the dock.. but I'm using DragThing for for most folder-related stuff now..

Why did they change the lighter gray at the top of the windows into a darker gray? Doesn't match so well anymore :(

Is the trash really empty if you open it? Try Secure Empty Trash?
- Jaline0
Yup, still the same way. Maybe it's because I modified the icon with Candybar and after I installed Leopard Candybar doesn't work anymore, so some of the icons have reverted back to their original state. Maybe some conflict there? Not sure. I will see if there are any updates regarding it.

Oh shit! I accidentally put these files:
[username] / Library / Preferences / com.apple.dock.db (and com.apple.dock.plist)
onto the desktop (out of the suggestion of something I read online) because I couldn't drag anything off the dock or empty the trash can
and now my dock has two icons on it and the Finder icon and the Trash icon don't exist! (but the space for it does, so when I click on the area where the trashcan is supposed to be, the window for the trash can opens up). But the icons are still gone and all of my other apps have disappeared off the dock (the apps are still installed in the system, thankfully).
Anyway, I can drag all my apps back onto the dock but the icons for Finder and the trash can are not there anymore....
crap...

...and I tried the "killall Dock" in Terminal too...
Hmm..I also updated to 10.5.1 before this error occurred, but I think it has more to do with the files I dragged onto the desktop.
Time to restart again.

I think I have to do reinstall :(
- akoni0
yea... you may have to reinstall Jaline

I'm going to try and get a copy of the com.apple.dock.plist file from online to restore the default. Of course, this could do nothing since it is what caused my dock's issue in the first place.

Everything's fine, except for the Finder icon and the Trash Can icon, which both should be appearing by now. Must be some glitch.
arrrghhh

Okay, I reinstalled and the dock is in the default Leopard state. So I just have to drag everything around now and change the skin.
(sorry, this thread is my Leopard blog).

Thank goodness for archive + install

Have fun :)
So...can people post their new desktops? I'd like to see if people actually use folders in the dock and that new fan thing.
