I really like the look of the game "Super hot", and wanted to do something in that vain. As I don't know enough 3d to create them each image in 10 minutes I tried to convert the style into 2d triangled shaped characters. Wasn't enough depth in just red so added the yellow in the end.

Some business cards for a Saint Paul MN-based stylist & make-up artist. A last minute art direction change resulted in a massive amount of gold foil on these cards. Despite my predilection to avoid things like this, I have to say these turned out really nice.
I still don't totally understand the photo-on-the-business-card thing, but it's apparently an industry norm.
- * things like this = gold foilskwiotsmith
- I like the gold foil a lot.monospaced
- @mono - I didn't think I would but somehow it works. Gold foil + grey = a lovely combo.skwiotsmith
- I didn't even realize it was grey.monospaced
- Yeah, the body text + image are grey (well, almost black).skwiotsmith
- and the paper stock? is it white or ivory?monospaced
- @mono - White...the lighting was super warm. Got them printed at moo.com actually.skwiotsmith

- Since we are showing some sketches and work got me a new iPad Pro with one of those Pencils. Not a bad drawing experience at all.monospaced

- neat. totally looks like charcoalscarabin
- Adobe Sketch app ... you can do broad shading just by turning the Pencil on its side, and the effect is pretty natural. Pressure sensitivity like a wacom.monospaced
- I think the biggest issue for me was how smooth and slick the surface feels. Nothing like drawing on paper.monospaced
