Most Canadians will say that we have no problem with indiviual Americans they have met over their lives.
In fact its hard to tell us apart.
But we HATE your politics and foreign policies which lacks respect for rest of the world.

why does anyone need to feel good about themselves because they are not what someone else is... can't you just feel good about yourself because what you are?

It's just because you're neighbours - and identity works that way: "we" oppose "them". All the time. Everywhere.

How would I know if I like Americans? I just don't like your government and their policies / ideals. I'd imagine that I would judge an American the same way I would judge anyone if I actually met them: "are you a douchebag or not?"

I like Canada. Lord knows my skins was built for it's Latitude, haha.
Also, I finally got my passport so hopefully I'll be able to hit it up later this year for the first time.
Then again, I like everywhere....
As far as neue75_bold is concerned about, "well, I can honestly say that until I left North America, I never met an American [other than on NT] that I didn't feel the urge to laugh at [or feel sorry for] after talking to them for more than 30 seconds..."
Eh, I can see that, hahah. There are a lot of self-righteous people here who either refuse to take into consideration anyone else's views (as they aren't theres, and therefore not right so why should they ever listen), and sadly a lot of fucking morons who you kind of look at with your head tilted a bit wondering just how in the world they made it this far in life.
Only in America, haha.

It's a complicated issue, and differs depending on your proximity.. I grew up 10 mins from Niagara Falls, so I had regular encounters.. You can find so much commonality, but then
- yep, just like that...neue75_bold
- but then you just met wet people.Corvo

yeah, I hate when people think I'm a northern Mexican when in fact i'm from the central part of the country.

A person's nationality is not so important has its home OS! That is the one and only way to distinguish between good people and bad people.

I'm a canadian living in NYC. All I can say is that canadian Nudie bars are way better than american nudie bars.

I am Canadian and, like most of people, I don't like US foreign policies and the government's arrogance.
...but I really like you guys :)

I think Canada is great, but without being nextdoor to the US economy for so many years, it would be a cold, beautiful, lonely ass place.

Generally speaking, I think Americans are more fun. They like to chew the fat and pal around; Canadians are really sheepish and only speak once spoken to. And we love to apologize.
