Ok first of all in order to even argue this ridiculous point you have to argue the validity and definition of intelligence. Intelligence is not a quantifiable item and is perceived differently from culture to culture.
If you are using IQ as an indicator of intelligence you are about 30 years behind the times. The IQ test has been de-bunked so many times that the fact that people still refer to it is ludicrous.

I would say that once again what is the reason for the piercing/tattoo. If it is a cultural connection [a real one] that has been passed down to you I would respect it. If you are a Cadillac lover and like to wash and wax your Cadillac and then you go out and get a Cadillac tattoo your a moron.

My tattoos mean a lot to me, even if they do look cliché. Honestly, my ink doesn't represent rebellion against "the man" or expression to show you who I really am. Simply a way for me to remember certain I never want to forget.

as far as i can see it, using any one defining feature of a person to classify intelligence seems to be to the biggest load of shit.tattoos are just expression, same as piercings, fashion and haircuts.
however, also like piercings, fashion and haircuts, there are people who have good tattoos, and those who have bad tattoos.

In order to make the argument that tattoo's denote a lack of intelligence you have to first assume that intelligence is a quantifiable substance. It is not. You can't measure intelligence.
If you are saying that IQ is a measure of intelligence you are about 20-30 years behind the times.
Tattoo's are simply a form of self expression. They mean different things to different people. To some they are purely aesthetic to others they have deep cultural or personal meaning.
