Here's where liberal media really irritates me. The information, data, logistical challenges, etc. is PLENTIFUL. Maps and geographic documents are PLENTIFUL.

I don't know why the mass media isn't breaking down things like logistical challenges of building on the border far away from any populated areas. Or showing the terrain and why it would be tough to build there. Or breaking down the cost of concrete and steel, labor costs, etc. etc. etc. etc.

I mean it's all RIGHT THERE to be analyzed and parsed and turned into something digestible and real that goes even further to illustrate how dumb the idea of a wall is. Hell, show how long it would take and that we'd be building it for a decade or more.

They could also break down the illogical comparisons to things like the Great Wall of China (built over 2,000 years), or the wall in Israel that is only 400 miles long.

I mean, it's just infuriating that such obvious conversations are skipped. I was obsessively reading about logistics of building a wall back in 2016.

Because the liberal media's argument is that there's no need for a wall, that there's no immigration crisis.

    • From that point of view arguing about logistics would be unnecessary, stupid even.

    Rep. Matt Gaetz

Where is the Democrat plan for border security? They say border security is important, but if that is true why don't they have a plan that would secure the border? If the wall is offensive to them then what is the idea that will give some sense of security to American families?

    - - - - - - -

    Let us review, @mattgaetz
Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013. Blocked by Republicans. Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2014. Blocked by Republicans.

January 2018, Democrats insist immigration be addressed, Republicans refuse, government shuts down over impasse. Democrats agree to reopen the government in return for a bait and switch scam from Trump and McConnell to bring comprehensive immigration reform to the table...

...taking us to June, 27, 2018 when REPUBLICANS vote against their OWN immigration reform bill because Trump won't sign it. Matt Gaetz himself votes NAY. Repeat: Matt Gaetz himself VOTED NAY ON REPUBLICANS' OWN IMMIGRATION REFORM BILL.

NOW Gaetz demands to know the Democrats' plan?
Florida District #1 suffers from inequality, poor healthcare, lack of economic opportunity, gun violence, drug addiction, and poverty, NONE of which is caused by immigrants but instead by poor leaders such as Matt Gaetz.

    • it doesn't matter.
