- affordable healthcarewhatthefunk
- one trend is the young is more apt to being homeless. those least needing healthcare. where im at the mentally challenge have been replaced with urban campers********
- im thinking more gov involved monetary policy********
- a big culprit, however the monetary policy has to go hand in hand with spending on large social programs with runaway costs. a bit all connected********
- More free lunchesmonospaced
- free lunches that raise taxes do negatively impact those closest to the middle class line that scrape by for a home. 1% to them vs 1% to someone richer to pay********
- is a big difference. why arbitrary taxe increases for general fund spending typically does much more harm for middleclass while generating upper class********
- virtue signalling moral support. best thing for people would be to give up public education or look at it as the bottom turd********
- less funding, and only as daycare for deadbeats. dont need kids robbing homes why we are stackin paper.********

- For anyone, like me, who has no idea who this person is.. https://www.vanityfa…Nairn
- I don't think she will get past a few percent in the polls, but this was quite funny:
https://www.youtube.…yuekit - The host probably thought she was some dumb hippie he could use to embarrass the left, but she actually came across as much more intelligent than him.yuekit

- Idiots... nobody said you have to 'appeal' to the Trump voter, you dumb fucks... just stop making shit and being such poor sports when you fucking lose...PonyBoy
- ...crying 'racist' at every fucking turn or seeing evil in anything Trump or his supporters can't be a smart game plan. The left fucked up hard...PonyBoy
- ... by trying to remove Trump w/that bullshit Russian Collusion silliness... not only was it embarrassing but the left looks like the biggest bunch of...PonyBoy
- ... babies. Waaaah... you lost. Grow up and vote him out on principle and stop making shit up.PonyBoy
- ( first comment edit: 'stop making shit *UP' )PonyBoy
- The liberal plot to expose Republicans, also known as “Operation Just Let Them Speak,” is working splendidly.whatthefunk
- :) the pubs say they're using that exact same strategy to let the dems take themselves out, wtfunk.
popcorn.gifPonyBoy - Pony, if you read the Mueller Report, it says there was collusion but not explicitly by Trump. The report said there wasn't a huge conspiracy.....********
- But Trump's not innocent. But your point is valid. Let's be like Yang and talk about what we can do in the future rather than complain.********
- In a way the analogy is correct, she just needs to add "they're going to vote for him regardless of what you do"nb
- Pony still hasn't read the report.. Sad!mathinc
- math :) how many times did you hear the name Mueller in that last debate?
Seems to me they caught on - there's nothing to read 'of consequence'...PonyBoy - ... that entire second part of his report was completely unnecessary and something that hasn't 'ever' been done before nor was Mueller tasked with...PonyBoy
- ... checking for obstruction of justice. That shit he offered up was pure 'this might be obstruction... you guys figure it out'... ... Sad!PonyBoy
- If you're simply parroting the GOP talking points then you've already lost.mathinc
- And so what if I am? The left's take on this document is hilarious at best. Mueller was hired to check if Russia and Trump "colluded' which isn't even a crime.PonyBoy
- The document proved he didn't. Trump shouts for joy "No Collusion!!"... Schiff answers with "Trump's LYING!" and the proceeds to say...PonyBoy
- ... something along the lines of "Russia DID interfere w/our elections..." but fails to bring up Trump as being part of it. So, how's Trump lying, Mr. Schiff?PonyBoy
- :) He's not (btw... I fucking hate this short comment shit... so hard to make a point typing is truncated sentences). :(PonyBoy
- Now - the 2nd part of the report: Obstruction!! This is so fucking flimsy, dude. Trump asking what his options are or even saying 'FIRE THE FUCKER'...PonyBoy
- ... in regards to those who are politically motivated to continue investing something built off of FALSIFIED FISA WARRANTS which were already outed...PonyBoy
- ... as BULLSHIT long before that report came to an end. Comey and a few others in the FBI pulled some evil dumb shit all over politics.PonyBoy
- So - if you want to nitpick Trump for screaming "I'm not guilty" in a thousand different forms along w/attacking those or trying to shitcan those...PonyBoy
- ... we ALL KNOW to be full of shit (and corrupt)... you go right ahead (that 2nd half of the report should entertain the fuck out of you).PonyBoy
- Those of us living in reality understand the report and understand Trump or anyone like him screaming at the top of their lungs "I'm not guilty!" Dude's got...PonyBoy
- ... the same 1st Ammend. rights as you and I. When this unravels... I think you may see Comey and friends actually looking at jail time...PonyBoy
- ... I mean... Comey was literally just referred by the IG for criminal prosecution. You should be disgusted w/Comey and team regarding this entire...PonyBoy
- ...situation/ investigation. There should have never been one FISA warrant given how flimsy the info provided was—lol...but you keep looking for obstruction. :)PonyBoy

The entire concept of these debates are completely ridiculous if you think about it.
People are given 30 seconds to give a response on important topics, moderator constantly interrupting and goading the candidates on to fight with each other.
Candidates then judged by the media based on who can rattle off a good one liner rather than anything having to do with the substance of their plans. There's no way to differentiate between someone like Buttigieg who is a good talker but was only mayor of a small town, vs. someone like Inslee or the other governors who may not be the most charismatic but ran a large state.
Imagine if any other organization such as a large corporation or non-profit chose their leader this way.

Tulsi should be the Dem nominee, not sure if she can beat Trump, but she's got the most self respect out of the entire Dem field.
You guys can hold your nose as you vote for any of the Bs, but she a breath of fresh air.

Serious question: what percentage of unemployed people blame a robot (or automation) for taking their job? I don't know any people who think this (even though it's very true, for many.)
Yang is 10 or 20 years too early. People's sentiments haven't caught up with reality yet.
- how many steel workers / assembly types do you know? i could easily see where the fear comes in. these are people that know work as a routinecolin_s
- and yang isn't early, he's off-base. UBI isn't a terrible idea, but he is. technocratic utopianism is a fucking curse, not a point of salvationcolin_s
- entrepreneurship / "gods of capital" is so far removed from how a healthy society operates, but he's so wrapped up in the idea he can't see outside itcolin_s
- I know a lot of people (family, friends) in these types of industry. Upon being laid off, I've never heard one of them blame automation.nb
- It won't be a robot for many, it will mostly be a Plugin that replaces your job .robotron3k
- The entire physical banking business is almost completely nonexistent. Street level retail is at its last stage before death. Many millions replaced by tech.monospaced
- My question is: do people who have been replaced by automation actually blame automation for their specific job being taken away? I don't hear that.nb
- I've heard it from people who used to own those businesses, but it was a slow process, not a sudden one. They've moved on.monospaced

- So gun studies never release their research evidence???, And it looks like USA does lead the world in gun deaths!?!robotron3k
- both sides ignore context to make their points. US mass shootings attract attention because they're usually carried out by 1 person againstFax_Benson
- multiple, random innocents. Shootings around the world often happen within alt contexts - terrorism, civil war, religious beef etc etc.Fax_Benson
- US shootings are now starting to happen within those contexts - or so it seems.Fax_Benson
- Either that or 3rd world countries are exaggerating their safety by not accurately reporting on their mass killings!?!robotron3k
- tell yourself that if you want toFax_Benson
- Medical industry is regulated heavily, so is the auto industry. They would be far worse without regulations. Guns still are not.monospaced
- When medical errors are made, efforts are made to correct future errors. Doctors also have to be certified to practice. Same with driving, tests and all.monospaced
- If anything it makes sense to do this with gun owners to some extent, especially if it's all about being responsible, avoiding tragedy, and keeping the 2nd alivmonospaced
- The right to own guns isn't infringed in that case, it's just regulated so we are at least trying to keep them from the crazies.monospaced
- I feel like any reasonable person would agree that guns aren't exactly for everyone. Wouldn't give them to a kid without training, for example.monospaced
- Or the truth might just be, there is something to this pattern of isolated young men in America. Perhaps we need to look there first before it happens again?robotron3k
- I honestly think there's room for both. I truly don't think one alone will fix it. A combination of addressing the causes, plus the access to guns, is key.monospaced
- I feel that party aside, any reasonable person should understand limits of such dangerous items in certain hands.monospaced

Michael Avenatti Says He’s 50-50 On Running For President
https://nationalinterest.org/blo…
"Embattled celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti is revisiting a potential 2020 presidential bid and told CNBC he is “one of the few effective fighters” in the Democratic Party."

...isn't he something like 70-30 on going to jail?- 70-30 going to jail isn't a good measure to determine a president or not based on the current administration.capn_ron
