In response to Moscow Mitch and all other MAGAts and their bad faith arguments regarding due process and impeachment I submit this:

    https://www.politifact.com/truth…

2015: Republicans change rules in the House so they can subpoena Obama admin officials w/o involving the House minority.
2019: Democrats subpoena Trump officials using the precedent set in 2015 by Republicans.

*Dems use impeachment, a process clearly outlined and enshrined in the Constitution to try and remove a POTUS that has broken the law and who is unfit for office*

Republicans: “That’s not fair, where’s the due process, this is a coup!”

Who believes this bad faith selective pearl-clutching MAGAt GOP horseshit - oh that's right, the wool over eyes blind sheep low information single issue constituents of red districts who continually vote against their own interests...jfc

Why is the "Throuple" Dem taking impeachment headlines away from President Trump??

Democratic Rep. Katie Hill said that her explosive sex scandal put her in one of the “darkest places that a mind can go” as she gave her final speech on the House floor — and blamed a “misogynistic culture” for her resignation.

The California congresswoman said Thursday that she was stepping down due to a “misogynistic culture that gleefully consumed my naked pictures, capitalized on my sexuality and enabled my abusive ex to continue that abuse.”

“I’m leaving but we have men who have been credibly accused of intentional acts of sexual violence and remain in boardrooms, on the Supreme Court, in this very body, and worst of all, in the Oval Office,” Hill said.

Hill claimed her appearance on Capitol Hill was the first time she left her apartment since scandalous photos emerged along with reports she carried on inappropriate relationships with two staffers.

“I went to the darkest places that a mind can go,” Hill said. “But I made it through because the people who loved me most dragged me back into the light.”

The national debt hits $23 trillion

    https://www.axios.com/national-d…

It's worth asking how much of the current U.S. "economic boom" is simply being propped up by deficit spending. The 2008 stimulus bill, which was hugely controversial at the time, cost $800 billion.

Under Trump we're now spending $1 trillion every single year in unpaid tax cuts and spending. And with the recent tax cuts revenues to the government have been reduced by as much as 10% permanently, with no offset in spending.

    • Although $1 trillion is less deficit spending compared to previous years, it does continue under the Trump Administration. That's not great.IRNlun6
    • It’s actually a big increase under Trump compared with Obama’s second term. Strange because you can understand the need to run a deficit during a financialyuekit
    • crisis, but you shouldn’t need it when you have a good economy.yuekit
    • Specifically it's twice as high as during the last years of Obama. Mostly thanks to corporate tax cuts and a big increase in military spending.yuekit
    • It can be argued that we shouldn't have run a deficit at all to bail out fraudulent banks, but that definitely doesn't excuse the continued overspending.IRNlun6
