^ Trump has blocked all the first hand witnesses from participating, and Trumpers complaining that the evidence so far is second-hand.

    That's rich.

Call me old fashioned but you don't withhold testimony when you're innocent, and you don't reinvestigate investigations when you've been "exonerated". Did you guys read Orwell and get excited for the future or something?

Im still unclear on how investigation in possible corruption is only bad if it helps support your own goals. is it not corruption? is it un touchable because of politics? Can you not look into ukraine corruption if it may relate to personal aspirations?

Didnt the late mccain run the british mi5 dossier against trump which ended up fake news? Foriegn gov inelligence for gain..

But again the whole russia narrative which was asinine got attention for years... i think media is going to be upset by the results of people not caring. Its no OJ trial. and think people gonna be bummed thinking it significance is more than it is.

Next week Uruguay will celebrate the final round of presidential elections. It appears to be that the conservative candidate, Lacalle Pou (son of Luis Lacalle, president 1990-1995), will win over Martinez, left wing successor of Pepe Mujica and actual president Tabare Vazquez. The left (socialist) party “Frente Amplio”, has been in charge of the country for the last 15 years.

Due to the regional tension: Chile / Bolivia / Venezuela, a change “from left to right” in Uruguay’s political leadership is a bit delicate; specially since this round is a ballotage between two candidates that got around 35-45% each in the last round. (In Uruguay a candidate needs to have 50%+1 to win; otherwise, there is ballotage).

I really hope democracy wins overall, no matter which candidate becomes Uruguay’s president. Respect and tolerance are concepts that have weakened a lot in the last decades, and I really don’t want Uruguay to follow the trend of its neighbors.

    • uh democracy will always win if you just go by the votes. democracy is mob rule duh.
