Posting this just for the url, what a desperate plea by a bunch of simpletons to bolster his voting base.

I was out taking photos most of the day in my neighborhood, and then by the now-defunct CHOP, First Hill, Central District, and elsewhere. All I saw was a spark in our already out of control homeless population being joined by the recently un-housed due to this administration's complete fuck-up of C-19.
Don't really know where I'm going with this, other than "FUCK TRUMP" and apparently I'm an anarchist now?
- love that albumcolin_s
- It cuts federal funding. I'm ok with it. A bigly win********
- @db Hypothetical question, since you're in a funny mood. How do you make a bigly joke like that about federal funding when taxes from the cities listed pay..garbage

this is actually ideal for the democratic party, now that romney said he'll confirm whoever trump nominates.
even if they manage to win the presidency and house (and fuck, maybe even senate)... the "oh it won't get through the courts" will be their ultimate reason for continuing to basically not legislate.
they've long since abandoned the needs of actual people and can in no way be expected to lead from here on out - it's incredibly foolish to think otherwise, given the failures and broken promises of the obama administration.
the best we can hope for is trump gets booted out of office and the violence gets quelled and then by 2022 the DNC is just a corpse of gen x'ers who for whatever reason won't become a real leftist.
- No offense dude, but from my peeped you’re closer to the fringe than the mainstream left.nb
- my *perspectivenb
- @nb oh for sure, i don't deny that. but it's also that the center of that mainstream has drifted even further right over the past 20 yearscolin_s
- Please elaborate on how they abandoned the people and continue to not legislate.brandonp
- Funny how the fringe 2020 resembles Howard Zinn in 2005. https://progressive.…kingsteven
- @brandon folding on obamacare was pretty significant. inability to pass any gun reform. guantanamo. drone strikes. i mean, most of obama was iffy at best.colin_s

- I agree it's confusing. But then again there are also people in Europe who call themselves socialist while in practice being social democrats.yuekit
- And there are people who actually are socialists but don't want a totally state planned economy. They would emphasize the worker ownership aspect, yuekit

The Election That Could Break America
If the vote is close, Donald Trump could easily throw the election into chaos and subvert the result. Who will stop him?- Nobody, the left thinks the pen is mightier than the sword, but when the masses are illiterate, the sword is the only option._niko

Let's look at facts. Fauci said no reason why voting is unsafe. And yet democratic gov insist on adding to deficits the cost of mailing out ballots to any "registered" voter and in some states even ignoring signatures where as other don't even need a location to be sent. So if health is not an issue and doing it at great expense must mean different motives right? Is it blind faith and hope by trying to make it more accessible for youth with parents or game system. Even have nba china push on location with celebs. But at least we can squash covid-19 scare which makes me wonder it it was the whole point in the first place. Very opportunitive. And emergency powers with covid also allowed governors to over step into secretary of states domain and control them... But the biggest question to me is who and why such optics for an election is taking place. Any reasonable person sees it suspect as fuck and going to question it's integrity. So who's anti us so pissed and rather it burn if they can't control? It's things like that which make me vote trump this year. I hate his smug character as much as obama's. But I have never seen such it's either this way or fuck everyone from a party before. Idea of stacking judges or more impeachment. It's absurd.
- You lost me at the first line. If you think that's all Fauci said, you're a halfwit mate.BusterBoy

- So much time wasted focusing on this one attention seeking TV celebrity. The entire world wants it over, but a minority of voters in the US has the power toyuekit
- keep it going. And after this what, Donald Trump Jr? Ivanka Trump? Kayne West? It's never gonna end lol.yuekit
- You should listen to Bill Weld, who I think you said you were supporting earlier this year. That is someone who is actually intelligent and principled.yuekit

- I think when Trump says let's bring back torture, throw this person in jail, this newspaper should be shut down, or maybe I won't step down even if I lose theyuekit
- election...which he just said today...that tells you the reality of his views and what you're voting for.yuekit
- It's not libertarian. It's actually much more like China, authoritarian capitalism or state capitalism. In China you do have economic freedom, in some casesyuekit
- more than in the USA, but there's no real individual rights and if the state wants to seize your company they can.yuekit
- If you are causing trouble or not being sufficiently "patriotic" the government will single you out and come after you.yuekit
- And of course people are constantly being bombarded with nationalistic propaganda and cult of personality about the strong leader.yuekit
- Trump can't carry out all those things, partly because the U.S. system still has some limits on the president's power and partly because he's an idiot. But youyuekit
- can see from his comments that this is basically what he believes in. And I think that's why people who actually do have liberal principles like Bill Weld areyuekit

- The part you're missing is that every ballot has to be verified and matched to the registration and ID of an actual voter.yuekit

- Why would Democrats try to rig the election in California? That pretty much disproves your conspiracy theory right there.yuekit
- Why would you need to fake results in a state where the Republican party is basically wiped out and where Trump is losing by 30 points?yuekit
- Ugh deflection again. Why send ballots when totally fine to vote? Why deletimize the process through random states shit processes. Ie minnesota********
- I'm leaning because they know they don't have it. So burn it down. Push it towards a house or supreme court. And any trump crazy********

- Or not blinded but more accepting while more aggressive to others bias. More a dopamine typical trigger. Capt wow thing. Just funny ppl********
- Ate worse s bit more info to ated in a new religion********
- Doesn't matter if you are educated or not, just requires a little critical thinking. If someone wanted to rig an election, why would you need this complicatedyuekit
- scheme of mailing out millions of ballots and hoping they somehow add up to a win for your side? Why not just falsify the results directly, if they have theyuekit
- power to do it? Would save a bit of time no? Also your original assumption about what Faucci said is wrong. He said it COULD be safe to vote in personyuekit

- That article talks about how the fake news version of this was shared thousands of times on Facebook, and I guess you were part of that audience.yuekit
- Gotta be careful man, lots of people trying to trick and manipulate you and of course Trump is #1 at this.yuekit
- so people at risk and scared could request absentee voting? you still dont explain why. when defined as safe to mail a ton of ballots and deligitimize what we k********
- and the "could" following rules. SO again WHY?********
- personally im between ignorance hoping fro fraud and well hope.. or defensive maneuver to deligitmize and force it to house or courts********
- ambitions of a pelosi? i don't see any objective reasoning towards it all. and hell can jsut be monkey see monkey do with no method to the madness********
- but i think that needs to be focused on. and as far as critical thinking goes. how does one develop such a sense when told to think a certain way or be censored********
- come on in the article i mentioned wasnt about critical thinkign skills it was towards how the herds think.********
- and jsut pointed towards higher education creates more bias which reduces questioning, which i guess necessitates critical thinking for judgement********
- lol, it's not any more complicated than...there is a virus epidemic, people didn't know how bad it was going to be in November and still don't,yuekit
- Democrats were trying to make it safer for people. They are doing it in California and other big liberal states where there is no possible reason to steal theyuekit

- many ballots get disqualified and it helps your side.yuekit
- yea its not complicated "the virus epidemic" has been cured for most things. wear a mask social distance head viral guy says voting in person not an issue********
- the question is if you believe all this why all the new measures? why not just request absentee based on age?********
- im asking why the change when no need or desire. Did we hear people say im scared to vote?********
- i think you are being a little obtuse about the reality of the situation.********
- OR is politics involved, with a large amount of stupidity?********
- and a big part is on hopes to capitalize its ignored everything is deligitmized...or the point. i can ttell if stupidity or big plan********
- i just think its all dumb as fuck based of todays known evidence********
- I honestly don't know how it will shake out. Only point I'm making is the idea that it's a giant conspiracy to rig the vote is some Alex Jones level idiocy.yuekit
- When you vote by mail there is a physical record of every vote. Voting in person in most cases you are pressing a button on a machine. In many states there isyuekit
- no paper trail or independent verification at all.yuekit
- If you really think the government is so corrupt and evil that they would fake the results of the election, it seems kind of obvious that the second scenarioyuekit
- would offer them greater opportunity to do that. Mail in ballots can be audited or even challenged in court. And perhaps if Trump loses he will do that andyuekit
- string you guys along for years, just like he did with the Obama birth certificate thing.yuekit
- U call me conspiracy. But where is the rational motive to push such efforts? There is a basic narrative and it doesn't jive with reason.********
- Yes trump can contest courts etc but why. Why would Democrats push for agenda to deligitmize election********
- When it's absolutely unnecessary. Either ignorance or motive********
- To be honest looking at most democratic state people I can't tell. More than likely ignorance********
- In my state I could get access to so many ppls Ss and info. Everyone been hacks and info sold for unemployment********
- Here the first vote that comes in counts. Hence early voting and submission trump other legit voters********
- If u vote and got a vote already on u you are cut. But each state has oh so many weaknesses. Typical of most but being pushed this year********
- To levels of layman not excepting it. That is not good for the nation********

hey ukit. Here's a thought. The general left is going for state expert/science as rule to follow. I wonder if it due to innate nature and insecurities of most people. What was mostly managed by faiths and religion had created a vacuum. Something of un fulfillment and fear of... climate change or any damnation made up. There is something comforting to most people to believe someone has everything planned for them and future. are todays staticians left leaders the new prophets?. i think there is a decent thesis piece on this

- In fact, science is the only thing to date that humans have found that can help determine answers to anything. Religion doesn’t do anything like that.monospaced
- Scientist aren’t prophets. They don’t make unsubstantiated claims that they can’t back up. The comparison is ridiculous.monospaced

- but i look forward to your thesis "how nature inhibits the natural system of economics" - sounds like a hootkingsteven

- is fear with no aim. We all know a fear of death is motivation to live. Is the thought of dying too much for some brains has to put up firewalls. And the fire********
- walls present themselves in basic ignorance to an authority that promises them salvation because if you ask me that is bliss as fuck********
- and since most knowledge now is mostly people having an opinion about something with 0 critical thinking skills. why not science. religion was the science of it********
- days. just new "progressive" believers and flocks********
- its actually so simple saying i tout loud im sure plenty written on it already********
- oh and haha -16. rating systems are funny. they also tell you alot********
- Nobody said science is infallible. It is in fact always improving. It makes mistakes and it fixes them. Unlike religion.monospaced
- Ha your definition is no matter what its always positive and needs to be followed?********
- When do you ignore science?********
- What scientist do u choose to follow when they have different science?********
- You are just proving my point********
- db, i'm sure you've seen my posts in the covid thread that describe exactly the phenomenon of scientific policy vs theory and the social science of compliancekingsteven
- i'm just having a laugh at the lack of self awareness of you philosophising a belief system while not addressing that you're specifically talking about policykingsteven
- that inhibits the freedom of markets and therefore your own belief system.kingsteven
- Uh what are u thinking I'm talking about dude. None of anything I wrote deals with market forces u loon. It has to do with human nature substituting science for********
- Religion. A vacuums gets filled. And I have no idea of your theories buddy. If I recall u are the not very bright commie. Set in his ways and says wack shit********
- Like this. I do t even think u understand your own philosophies u follow. Just following for the sake of it********
- you hold a belief in the invisible hand of the market, yes? that is social science that is disputed, yes? would you like to explain how that is different fromkingsteven
- a belief in global warming?kingsteven
- invisible hand we have seen throughout history. logically makes sens, but culturally it can also fail making it not a hard science********
- but i go by its track record. global warming. we'll fix and call climate change because any warming is balanced with a decrease. lots of data reports but********
- very poor track record and very short modern history of what like 50 years? where as capitalism much longer.********
- i mean many geologists do counter climate change alarmists and point to carbon dating and other objective measures where climate********
- changed dramatically on larger scopes. Hell most scientists believe pre industrial civilizations mayans were decimated by climate phenomenon********
- with that said i dont not believe in climate change. think its silly to think such things. but equal to or more i think peopel have solutions to "solve" climate********
- change or control. can man control the seasons as well? infinite summer? think about the hubris involved. as same as hubris involved in every culture that tries********
- to control a free market organic system thinkign theyre smarter than something they are only a single point of. never gettign it lives bigger than them, same as********
- climate********
- i mean, i'm not trying to say that one is right and the other isn't ... but the most commonly touted 'solution' for climate change is an end to capitalismkingsteven
- due to it's inability to act to the benefit of society in terms of limiting environmental damage. wouldn't man made climate change be incompatible with yourkingsteven
- belief in the invisible hand? and therefore as worthy of ridicule for exactly the the same reason you deride a belief in science?kingsteven
- im not a commie or a socialist btw. but i am interested in your motivations in limiting yourself to a particular school of free market theory in the same way askingsteven
- you are interested in peoples belief in 'science' - given your absolutism in underpinning concepts such as govt market regulation and egoism and your inabilitykingsteven
- to embrace the cognitive dissonance needed for consideration of alternative theories you do come across as at best non-scientific and perhaps cultish.kingsteven
- When scientists disagree, the only known process to figure out who is right or wrong is more science. That is what science means you fucking retard.monospaced
- If your conclusion is "science is as stupid as religion" when there is an incorrect or incomplete scientific understanding, then you are in fact the idiot.monospaced
- Do yourself a favor and learn about what science is, what the scientific process is, and what the community has in place to ensure science is always improving.monospaced
- Thing is, there is no "belief" in science. There is science, and it's real and true whether you want to accept it or not.monospaced
- Thing is, you actually rely on and accept the majority of all science to keep you alive and well every day. To deny only small parts of it is idiotic.monospaced
- hahaha king you sir are an idiot. capitalism is to blame for allowing peopel to get what they want. not what they need. and that is no phones, not electiricty********
- and live in mudhuts as all other civilizations ruined by climate change...********
- mono you are also stupid. you clearly are thinkign the term science as omnipotent truth. when its really nothing. science of 80s graphic design?********
- in the case of climate change the only science is data models. which is more statistics than science since there is 0 objective truth. Not hard science********
- depending on data and grants and interpretation you get a result... did you notice every model has been incorrect? but "science!" its infallible.********
- jsut admit your a fuckin tool on your science hangup instead of constantly reinforcing it********
- And still no ukit. Wonder why. I think it touches a little to close to home and challenged retain contsructs********
- Starting to see a pattern********
- i was talking hypothetically, even put a wee caveat at the start. but if that is how you want to respond. i'll just assume i'm right and that climate change iskingsteven
- incompatible with your political thought.kingsteven
- anchoring your argument hypothetically around an unsourced or defined argument. get called out on it. get butt hurt. reinforces own bullshit********
- haha come on buddy please explain how climate change is incompatible with political thought. i think politically different than u and accept climate change is********
- "real". so is the incompatibility due to what i think is objectively reasonable considering economies and freedom or what you hop could be?********
- and i say hope because there is no objective measure or requirements to "ease" climate change. And what it will do to people.********

Trump gets booed at RBG's funeral as crowd chants "Vote Him Out!"
I love this so much. The guy never appears before a crowd that is representative of actual Americans. He never has to hear what anyone other than Fox-News-Conservatives have to say about him. What a fuck-ass.

Reading the Wikipedia article on Amy Coney Barrett makes me far less afraid of her than most of my friends seem to be.
On one hand, there is the unknown position on abortion (she has never ruled on a case of this nature, so we just don't know. But it's scary.) I assume she has told Trump she is anti-abortion, which I also believe Trump is, and this is why he picked her. However, keep in mind that a judge can be at the same time anti-abortion while understanding that it is legally protected.
Here are some quotes from her that ease my mind:
"My personal church affiliation or my religious belief would not bear on the discharge of my duties as a judge."
"It is never appropriate for a judge to impose that judge's personal convictions, whether they arise from faith or anywhere else, on the law."
She endorsed the Catholic Church's teachings on human sexuality and its definition of marriage as between one man and one woman BUT when asked about the letter, she testified that the Church's definition of marriage is legally irrelevant. This is true, and the kind of statements I like to hear from judges.
She's obviously not what I want, I think the next president should pick (if only because Republicans forced this with their bullshit last round.) But, hey, if she gets on the bench, not the end of the world.
Let's all take it easy a little bit. Try to chill.
- She worked for Scalia. You may not have liked everything Scalia said, but he was a decent judge.nb
- eh dems didn't control senate last round. part of the balance of power. and she isnt bad. better than the deceased by a mile. not very interested ppl who think********
- the constitution is lacking in social equality shit. because that all but relative. and ones social equality is not anothers. its great because its axioms********
- Constitution gets amended. It’s meant to be a living document, dbGnash
- Deathboy is obviously an idiot, just ignore him.nb
- it can get amended but needs to be sound. ginsburg reasoning is not sound********
- special rights for some and not others. i mena unless your black and property right?!********
- but if u want to try to explain how private agreements of people can have special abilities for lawsuit based on gender go ahead********
- seems arbitrary and special interest as fuck but convince me otherwise********
- Aren't these all just quotes from confirmation hearings where she has to reassure the other side? What's she going to say, "yes I am a religious fanaticyuekit
- actually." Of course there's a reason why conservatives go to such great lengths to get these people appointed.yuekit
- Ok, but all we can really go on is her words and her track record. A lot of people want to pretend they know what she’ll do, despite no evidence to suggest it.nb
- Republicans supporting her means little at this point. They have openly stated they will confirm ANY nominee trump makes. It’s a moot point.nb
- Yeah but the reason she was picked is because she has a track record of extremely conservative rulings. Moving the courts in a right-wing direction isyuekit
- something the GOP has been working on for a long time. They keep tabs on all the judges, and apparently this woman is their top pick. Trump himself has veryyuekit
- little to do with it. He's just nominating the people they want him to.yuekit
- What are these extremely conservative rulings you speak of? I have not seen them! Honest question.nb
- i think Conservatives are putting too much hope in the life expectancy of males over 50 in general... Heart Disease, Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Colorectal Cancerjonny_quest_lives
- Falls, Stroke, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Diabetes, Influenza and Pneumonia, Suicide, Kidney Disease, Alzheimer’s Diseasejonny_quest_lives
- so 1 to 3 openings in the court within 4 to 8 years would not be surprising. Also I wouldn't cry if the Democrats raised the number of justices to 11...jonny_quest_lives
- Mitch McConnell made it a totally justifiable option by not even bringing Merrick Garland's Nomination to a vote in the Senate.jonny_quest_lives
- @nb https://www.pfaw.org…yuekit
- https://www.politico…yuekit
- But regardless of her individual track record, simply having a 6-3 conservative court (made up of pretty extreme conservatives) is the main issue.yuekit
- John Roberts, who was appointed by George Bush, would mostly vote with the other conservatives but would occasionally side with liberals to reach a moreyuekit
- moderate decision. Now they won't even need his vote.yuekit
- 6-3... 5-4 already wins right and as we have seen. Pretty moderate. And ukit right wing is the good wing that isn't malformed. Left is a slow cancer********
- Simply because it is focused on collective rights. Which negates individual rights and takes a huge step backwards in western enlightenment********
- But than again no real party of anything. Look at trump giving special rights in platinum package for blacks. U can either respect individual rights or allow********
- Some gov to exercise collective rights through sham systems. And when u go that route almost all suffering is justified********
- Uighurs in china. Justified. Jews justified. Slavery justified. (Logical hoop was classification as property, not about actual individual rights) but would tota********
- Ly just if a majority could benefit and vote for it. Or a leader to exec order it.********
- That's the problem with collective rights because it is a logical fallacy a contruct********
- Ignoring deathboi posts as usual. I’m still waiting to hear about these cases where she ruled politically to the right rather than on legal merits.nb
- Check out the links I posted aboveyuekit
- reason.com covers a lot of them as well********
- But the fear of 6-3 ignoring current 5-4.. no one gonna tough that hysteria shit huh?********
- ********-2
What nothing on Trump's platinum plan? Well I think it's dumb as fuck. Liberal political pandering.
- I don't think liberals in the US would be that blatant. This is more like Hugo Chavez or something hahayuekit
- Haha actually they are always that blatant and much more hugo chavez. Can't get more blatant than barfly, warren, sanders types. Anything to keep a job********
- Curious if people are in a dilemma to support it or say it's full of shit and shouldn't be impemented. Probably waiting for media talking points to repeat********
- looks like a dilemma cant even form own opiniions********
- Ha who was it that talked about fro t page need vs burying it********
- Similar to peace agreements...********
- But why so quiet... Funny how ppl are triggered through group think to think stuff has value and vice versa********
