It's a nightmare, you see allot of Americans will simply say they would vote for barack to not appear like a racialist for fear of supporting someone else, I want to believe that Barack has a chance he is just so right for your country he will be fair he will be just people will respect him his views and ultimatley they will absolutely respect America, if Mcain wins this election there is little doubt in my mind that britain will begin to take a step or two away from americas side.

oh what a load of crap, the uk will just bend over even further - the last transatlantic administration has seen a supposedly conservative government in the US which has run up unprecedented levels of national debt whilst in the UK they've had nu-labour, a supposedly left of center outfit, that has just twisted the screw of the authoritarian state round and round and round in a way that people just wouldn't put up with were they a 'conservative' government, fines and cameras and million news stupid laws - there's been no difference in the degree or nature of how fucked life has become in both these places, and it won't change a bit with a new president - please please wake up and realise that the people in charge of the uk are also running the show in the us, and despite appearances of chaos and synchronized projections of a movie of the sky falling in, things are going exactly as planned.

give some of us more credit than that. at a wedding over the weekend in rural, and i mean rural illinois (think trucks, country music, having a dip in your mouth during the ceremony) the dj, very close to the end of the night was thanking everyone for coming and what not and reminded everyone to vote... someone yelled out 'OBAMA' and within seconds the crowd started to chant 'OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA' it made me feel all warm and tingly inside. it was that or all the wild turkey i had drank.

I hope you are right, Kona. One of my relatives in Ohio told me last week "I can't vote for someone who's name I can't even pronounce." Stupid, racist Fuk. And a friend of mine who's father lives in Virginia basically had the same sentiment...both are in their 70s...and her father is a life long democrat who is pro choice.

I think it's important to know as much about how your candidate conducts business as possible. A great deal of scrutiny gets placed on Repubs now because of Bush' failures. That's cool, it's the life of a party, right? I read this today and it's a bit freaky how much behind the scenes tomfoolery Obama's camp conducts to hit those crazy high donations numbers. Take a gander and judge for yourself. Makes me want to vote Green.
