Elmwood rebrand, not sure who did this 'update'?
- 23kon0
STV has undergone a refreshment of its branding which will see a new logo roll out across the channel, its programmes and websites from 23 March.
Created by Bruce Dunlop Associates alongside internal team STV Creative, the logo and six new idents will be launched as the company looks to reflect its Scottish heritage and will feature people and places from across the country.

That happens so much Kelpie, clients bugger off for something that THEY think will be better ...... but ........
... well you know the score ;)
- kelpie0
so I take it the triangle is part of the saltire then? the left most blue bit?
- kelpie0
bet my arse it's resolved out of a flag in the idents at some point. bet they couldn't resist ;)
- 23kon0
aye, think so.
it actually works better when you see it within a 'sting' that theyve got on The Drum site. All the triangles/diamonds make a tartan/argyle kind of pattern.
and like i mentioned in a comment previous, the triangle kind of represents a Play button too.I dont like the concept though stylewise, it looks like a step back in time rather than forward.

there are more shit, parochial, try hard brands per sq meter in this country than in any other the world over.

the national museums of scotland stuff from hat trick last week has got my bile rising splendidly on the general state of local authority and national scope brands in Alba. Its so fucking nice, then you have Glasgow, Scotland with Style, or the Homecoming stuff, or the perthshire stuff, or this, or any number of fucking projects the agencies must have been horrified turned out the way they did.

Mistermik
I lasted a wee bit longer on http://www.brucedunlop.com/That site is actually laughable!
If you were looking for an agency to design you a cutting edge and forward thinking television identity campaign, would you look at their site and think "yup thats the company i want to go with".
Oh dears.
Maybe give them a call and ask if they want a decent site ;)
- 23kon0
Yeah, Edinburgh Brand logo was created by Interbrand in London
We did their site for them, but not their latest incarnation.Shocking, these companies should be boycotted and publically shamed for spending money outwith Scotland.

Kelpie, any links to the National Museums gear?
