Can't help but watch the opening credits and hear my old chemistry teacher - Mr Lear - reciting the names of the elements as their symbols come up in the peoples' names.
Barium
Cobalt
Nickel
Bromine....Good teacher, him.

- pretty good recap. ends on a disingenuous note though. it's always been about his ego, not his family.sarahfailin
- i think it got that across pretty well at the end when Mike yells "Its always been about your ego!" etcBrokenHD
- Would pay to see a 2hr version of that!HAYZ1LLLA

so re-watched all of season 3 .. trying to work out when and how Walt ends up with the Leaves of Grass book.
episode 6....
Walter meets Gale for the first time in the lab and on their break they are both drinking and talking about chemistry. Gale brings up the poem by Walt Whitman and Walt's reaction is that he's never heard it before and asks Gale to recite it and Gale does so.
cut to Hank sitting in his SUV outside of Jessie's house waiting on him to go out and lead Hank to the RV ... cut to close-up on Leaves of Grass in Walt's hands.. as he is reading it his phone rings and its Hank asking questions about Pinkman's RV .. and we all know what happens next ... but my question is .. is this the same book signed by Gale? or did Walt stop by a book store after he left the lab and purchased it? I'm guessing there is a missing scene possibly that they haven't showed yet ... like how they showed the scene where Walt gives Jesse all his money in the first season to buy the Winnebago but instead Jesse takes the money and goes to the strip club and blows most of it on strippers with Skinny Pete and Combo.
but they don't show the strip club scene until late in season 2.

^^ its right before Jesse leads Hank to where the RV is located
Hank has found out that Combo's moms RV was stolen and that Jesse and Combo were friends ... so he calls Walt and mentions the RV and so Walt goes to the junkyard where the RV is and tells Badger and his Cousin or Uncle that the the RV needs to be demolished .. this of course leads Badger to call Jesse and tell him what Walt is up to. Jesse storms out of his house which is being surveilled by Hank and leads Hank to the RV- Hank is just asking Walt of he ever noticed an RV when Walt supposedly purchased Pot from Pinkman... That was the story he told to skylar season 1.Ramanisky2

Just saw the last episode last night. It is now safe to read this thread...

tbh i was rather disappointed with the outcome of the last episode... it's like they deliberately chose a very random method of hank finding out, instead of more plausible (though more obvious) ways... almost like they've read this thread (and the million others online).

- Shows what I know. that seems like a terrible audition!HAYZ1LLLA

Finally caught up as of last night. Damn... Finally Hank knows, and Walt doesn't know it.
Why would he leave that book on his shitter? wtf?

I'm trying to find the connection between the book they show Walt reading after his first day on the job with Gale and the book which ends up in his bathroom that hank finds
i feel there is a scene which they have not revealed yet and will play in the final season that shows Gale actually handing the book to Walt- I'm sure they did already? I remember a bookBullitt
- W.W. was in Gale's notes. W.W. was in the book given to Walt as a gift from Gale, and signed by him. 2 separate quotes, 2 separate books.nthkl
- ... separate books.nthkl
- Is there a scene in Season 4 that shows this ??? Or is it impliedRamanisky2
- I'm about 99% sure there was no scene in Season 4 where Gale gave Walt the book. There's prob. going to be a flashback scene.elahon
