so should I get an iPhone or a Blackberry for viewing email, calendar and address book contacts while on the move? Which is best? Is the iPhone just pretty and fun or is the Blackberry the PC business-users choice? I know I can get exchange email on the iPhone, but would the Blackberry serve me better?

I got an iphone recently, and it was a huge step for me, as my previous phone was as close to a dyna tac you will ever.
I love it, music, videogames, photos, video, maps, text messaging, email, web, fart sounds on command, time, weather, package tracking, music writing (I have a sampler with sequencer a synth and a vocoder) etc.
but I never get any reception, I can never talk to anyone without dropping calls, reception ALWAYS SUCK MIGHTY ASS METALLIC BAWLS
maybe that review helps you
- you need iPod touch and a phone :)jimbojones

I have both: an iPhone 3g and a Blackberry 8830 World Edition for work.
Just get the iPhone.

As much as I oogle the iPhone, I went with a Blackberry. To date I have had zero issues with email or reception, and I use it constantly.
My only complaints:
Calendar not the most intuitive, imo.
Having to synch up to Mac via the cable and application is a pain in the ass, and does deter me from synching period.Otherwise, solid.

I recently switched from BB to an iphone and yes, there are some advantages, but there are still little things I need to get used to, like no speed dialing, and not being able to be notified every time I get an email. With the iPhone, you need to go into your mail to check for new emails :( (unless there's an app for that and I don't know it)
- just need to switch the sound on for it. Its in the settingsmigy
- USER ERRORArmandoEstrada
- It has both....ArmandoEstrada
- Jailbreak it and get Notifier... puts little icons in your top bar when you have email, text, voicemail, etc. Great app!xcreonx

so far the iphone's looking good. I guess it will just evolve due to the developments of apps for it?

^
The email thing is solved when you switch to IMAP (you are currently using POP3), I get them at the exact same time on my computer and my phone, sometimes I have the volume down on my computer and I know I got an email because my phone made a sound.I don't know what do you mean by speed dial exactly.
I'm assuming is not touching your contact's name and the phone will make the call automatically cause obviously every phone has that (even my old dyna tac)

the iPhone is the smart phone now. The only phone that is really close at all, is the Palm Pre. But...the Palm Pre has about 1% of the number of apps that the iPhone has....so....
the other thing is, the iPhone is super expensive and on a sucky carrier.

Blackberry is just a business phone. The reason it is popular is because every person with a suit, or even a button up shirt, gets one given the them by their work
