For Slappy (sorry for the shitty pics):
New parts up front (bunch of the original shit got stolen a year or so back): PRO drop bars (recently swapped out the Cinelli bull horns), SRAM Rival brake, Paul lever.
Look KEO clipless pedals, recently got a Garmin speed/cadence sensor, too.
Fizik Arione saddle, Arundel Mandible cages connected by X-Lab Mini Wing kit.I've been riding this more and more like a road bike lately, hence the cages, sensors and switch to drop bars and clipless pedals. Got a 108 mile ride coming up in a couple weeks!
- New Deda stem as well.duckseason

Super nice man!
Those drops look nice and small. I have been thinking about clipless but I'm too worried about coming unclipped when spinning out down steep hills! This happened to a mate few weeks ago. The KEOs are what I would get though, love how solid they feel.
- I have the Keo Classics on mine and have the tension cranked up to 12nm (as high as these goes)duckseason
- Only time I've ever had issues is when I let my cleats get far too worn down. Other than that they've been great for city riding/training.duckseason

Shit photo of my unknown framed, long term upgrade-it-when-I-can-afford-to, ride. Currently enjoying wrestling it's noodly arse up the steepest hills I can find. Dropping my geared riding mates is fun :)
Don't worry about clipless, your mate unclipped cos of
a) worn cleats
b) pedal tension not high enough
c) twisted his foot somehowI've done c) before. Unclipped while doing a sickskidbro and kicked the front wheel, went straight over the bars. Basically if you're not an idiot you'll be fine.

Anyone use 700x35-47 tubes?
Wasn't paying attention and ordered two of these by mistake.
It's probably gonna cost more to ship them back than they're worth.2 Michelin AirStop Butyl tubes.
If you want em, holler.

Damn a 108 mile ride on that single-speed?! I hope it's either all flat or you have legs of steel. Or both.

I have everything i need to build one of these minus the coaster brake rear hub. Mine is on a Leader frame with some better bmx cranks and a stronger set of Tag bars. I can probably get one from a beach cruiser, but this is going to be my new going around town bike. I'll post photos when it is built.
This video about this bike is rad! It's the bottom left link.

Just got this a couple hours ago. Debated road bike vs. fixed. Never ridden a fixed gear before but the test ride was fun. I've only had my Rockhopper for the last several years, and I've had narrow city hybrid tires on it. Ready to get it back in full mtb mode so knew I'd need something for around town, and to do in place of jogging some days.
Decided against a full on road bike because I'd never make the time to commit to long mile rides. This way I've got something fun I can cruise around on, and still get a workout when I want one.
Can't believe how light this is. Like 18 lbs. I'm getting new pedals; the shop just didn't have what I wanted.
- Cool bike! Maybe flip that stem and get the bull horns more parallel to the ground, might feel weird at first but more comfortable on long rides :)slappy
- comfortable on long rides/climbing hills :)slappy
- Don't have any hills in Chicago! The original drop bars were terrible. Felt very sketchy going from drops to brakes.mg33
- Have you seen the Pro version? http://www.cyclechat… $1,600. That frame is rad.mg33
- was this pic taken in China?moldero

I had to kill an hour yesterday with my boy, so we walked a Target store. Saw this "fixie" for $99. Honestly, is this just super-douchie or is it a good beater bike for the price?
