If anyone has any credibility to talk about Jordan, its Pippen. Pippen wasnt slagging on Jordan or anything, but god forbid you mention Jordans name with a similar talent...People go mental!

My problem with the whole Jordan - Lebron battle is the scorched Earth Jordan left behind. He was the NBA, he was Nike, he was basketball. He was a world wide phenomenon. An enigma. You say basketball, and Michael Jordan shortly followed. He built his own legacy, Lebron has been given it by the press and sports analysts.
Lebron is no doubt a great player, and will have a great career. We shall see if he has an impact like Jordan. Plus, Jordan has the pimpest-bestest logo ever. So, from a QBN side he gets the win and the +1. ;)

I agree that it's a worthless conversation to compare the guy who laid the groundwork for today's play style to someone who is following in that tract. It's obvious that Jordan is a legend, and that will never change. Shit, when Jordan came into the league he had to deal with people still talking about Russell and Chamberlain as the best scorers ever. Same thing goes for Lebron, and I think whoever said it was right. Each era has their guy. This era is yet to be decided, because there are players like D. Wade, Melo, CP3, etc. that can make some small adjustments to their game and easily become that guy for this generation. Seems pretty obvious to me that Kevin Durant will one day be the all-time scoring champ if he keeps his pace.

I really like LeBron, and there are many ways they can be compared, but he nor any other player can never aspire to such a legacy as jordan. Here, let me quantify with the tip of the iceberg:

Wow, what a comeback. I really thought the Heat would close the game the way they've been doing it but never saw that coming. Well played by the Mavs... but don't blame it all on Bosh, Lebron missed his last three shots and caused nasty turnovers.
