woah... you guys really hate us

Honestly I wouldnt be surprised one bit if this was over in 5. The Mavs only really have 1 star, the Heat have 2 of the best players in the league. Even without either Wade or Lebron, I still think the Heat would win this series. Hell, the Heat did beat them in 06 without Lebron and with an old Shaq. With both those guys on the same team it just means one can have an off day and the other picks up the slack.
Last night the Heat do what they did in so many games in the playoffs, play conservative in the first half, conserve their energy, destroy you in the 2nd. Thats how they play almost every game, they make you think you have a chance.
They are going to be VERY tough over the next 5 years, which is not good news for my Knicks.
- Lol Dirk at the end of 2nd quarter is thinking "hey we have a chance here". Woops, no you dont.CygnusZero4
- This was the Heat's plan since Day 1. Cant hate on them because it has all come true.desmo
- Im not hating on them, I know how good they are. Always someone cockblocking my knicks.CygnusZero4
- Bulls in the 90s, now the Heat.CygnusZero4

RIP to all other NBA teams 2011-2017.

There's something I find odd about what's going on with Lebron though. Kobe has like 5 championships, but you know that if Lebron just gets 2 everyone will be saying Lebron is better. Why is that?
Kobe wasnt just some roleplayer on a great team, he's like the main reason they won all those championships, hitting tons of clutch shots. Doesnt it just seem logical that Lebron would need 4 or 5 just to get to his level? But instead just a couple rings for him and people WILL mention him above Kobe. I dont get why.
- Kobe makes terrible shots that somehow manage to go in.********
- Lebron is better at a younger age than Kobe was at a younger age.********
- Lebron isn't a rapist.********
- Granted, Kobe was drafted to the NBA earlier than Lebron.********
- Kobe had way more pieces around him in LA than Lebron had in Cleveland.********
- Cavs were never swept two years in a row in the playoffs. Lakers were.********
- Lakers have had Phil Jackson for like 15 years now. The Heat have Eric Lolstra.********
- Kobe was kind of weak his first two to three seasons.********
- Meanwhile, Lebron's first ever NBA game looked like: 25 pts., 9 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and shot 60%********
- Last, the Heat are sweeping teams, not getting swept. :P********
- Lebron is cuter...OSFA

Sweet Mother does Miami know how to close games. What a explosion of athleticism, talent, and finesse.
- Been doing this all 2nd half of the season and throughout the playoffs.CygnusZero4
- On ESPN earlier they showed their 2nd half stats of games, ridiculous.CygnusZero4
- well I know. But last night was done with a few of these !!!!!!dibec
- That Lebron hammer-explosion-in... ... +1. I had the game on loud ... i almost choked on my beer bottle.dibec

Everyone looks at Lebron like a villain, pussying out and going to play with a great player, and compare him to Jordan, as if Jordan didnt have anyone worth a damn around him. He had Pippen, Kerr and Rodman, along with a few other damn good bench players. If Lebron and get 5 rings there's no reason to not put him up there with Jordan.
- Not to mention Jordan had Phil Jackson, legendary coach. Miami has.... Erik Spolstra? Who the fuck is that? lolCygnusZero4
- Seriously, who can blame Lebron now for leaving the Cavs?CygnusZero4
- I call him Eric Lolstra actually.********

Jordan > Leborn. Sorry folks, that is the way it is, that is the way it always will be.
- No, thats how it is RIGHT NOW. How can you say Lebron can never get there???CygnusZero4
- It is not possible. Two different players, two different eras.dibec
- Jordan didnt get his first ring til his 7th season. Lebron is pretty much right on track, with a nobody coach on top of it.CygnusZero4
- Jordan > Lebron. Period.OSFA

^ If things play out for the Heat like it looks like it might, with the Spurs, Lakers and Celtics all starting to decline, I guarantee you if they get a bunch of championships there will be a hell of a lot of people saying Lebron is at least on his level. Maybe hard to say actually BETTER, like Pippen said Lebron was last week, but he would be up there in the top 5 or so all time.
- Dude doesnt have 1 ring yet and ive seen people on ESPN say he might be in the top 10-20 already, just in terms of pure skill.CygnusZero4
- skillCygnusZero4
- I concur.dibec

Here's that jam from last night. I dont want to sound like im on this guys dick, I just give respect where its due. This guy is probably going to keep my Knicks from winning anything with Carmello, Stoudemire and whoever else they get, Deron Williams or Chris Paul, so Im not happy about it, but he deserves respect anyway, just like I respect Jordan even though he kept my knicks from winning in the 90s when I thought they could have.
- If the Knicks can somehow land CP3 or DWILL...its on. Im sure there is a way to make it happen.desmo
- Even with them, it wont be easy. Maybe they would have the best chance of all nba teams, but still tough.CygnusZero4
- Even with Wills or CP3, they have no depth..********

I hate all this Jordan/Lebron comparison talk.
Jordan will always be in a class on his own, but by the time Lebron's career is over, he will have shattered records left and right with multiple championships. Its inevitable. Sports writers and twitter experts can hate all they want but there is no denying his talent.
Jordan sits on his pedestal. Lebron will sit on his own with the other greats when all is said and done.
- CygnusZero40
Yeah Jordan reached that level that there's just basically no way to actually be better. People say he's the best ever, but didnt Bill Russel win 11 championships with the Celts, so some say he's the best ever too. It's basically like there's room to be the best ever in your own generation, and all these guys sit together in a line of thrones at the top of nba history.
Maybe you could say ones skill is beyond anothers, but overall I think Lebron could be right next to Jordan, but he's got a lot of work to do over the next 7 years.
- Wilt the Stilt anyone? Only playing to average over 40ppg in a season. only 100point game etc.Amicus
- CygnusZero40
I think when Pippen said last week that he thinks Lebron is better than Jordan, he is talking about his overall game, not his legacy or accomplishments.
Jordan was a great, clutch offensive player, but not a great defender. Lebron is a beast defender, he actually thinks thats the best part of his game, then throw in that he's also ridiculous offensively, and overall he may actually be a better player in terms of overall talent.
People got all pissy when Pippen said that, but he might be right.
