Research conducted by security experts Trail of Bits concluded that the notion of blockchain decentralization is a fallacy. In particular, the report claimed controlling the four biggest mining pools could disrupt the Bitcoin chain, with Ethereum faring worse at three entities.
“The number of entities sufficient to disrupt a blockchain is relatively low: four for Bitcoin, two for Ethereum, and less than a dozen for most PoS networks.”
The report was commissioned by the Pentagon’s research and development branch, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), which is tasked with investigating technology for potential military use.
“Bitcoin’s Nakamoto coefficient is four, because taking control of the four largest mining pools would provide a hashrate sufficient to execute a 51% attack. In January of 2021, the Nakamoto coefficient for Ethereum was only two.12 As of April 2022, it is three.”

Binance served crypto traders in Iran despite U.S. sanctions, clients say
The world's largest crypto exchange, Binance, continued to process trades by clients in Iran despite U.S. sanctions and a company ban on doing business there, a Reuters investigation has found.
In 2018, the United States reimposed sanctions that had been suspended three years earlier as part of Iran's nuclear deal with major world powers. That November, Binance informed traders in Iran it would no longer serve them, telling them to liquidate their accounts.

Not about Bitcoin/Crypto specifically - more about Dollar, EuroDollar - and the whole monetary system = super super interesting. He touches on crypto and bitcoin towards the end of the podcast, essentially if crypto can evolve there's potential for a crypto currency to 'replace' the eurodollar, but perhaps not bitcoin as it's not about a 'store of value'.
Fascinating stuff.
it's always great to hear from someone who zoomed out a lot and is able to give the macro picture on it all.
