What I find most interesting, even more than the price fluctuation, is the volume of trade, look at the 6 month or 2 year chart, especially April of this year.

^ this. any stock price that goes up that fast means it wont be worth much for long. it means people would rather put it under the bed and sit on it thinking itll be worth way more in the future - than actually put it to use and make the system work. At first people( the govt & the feds especially) were weary and against it. Then they saw the backing of the community for bitcoin.
Now the headlines read 'feds & govt embrace bitcoin' ..oh why the change i wonder- ah, because they found something new to tax. Taxes, another one of 'Murica's BS systems that dont work.- It's not a stock, it's a currency. Compared to estimated value, these fluctuations are negligible.ZOOP
