Facebook, and their "Community Standards" that apparently allow slanderous comments about people, accusations of rape, sexual abuse, mind control, theft, and other things, and provide no recourse for these things being said about people.
A girl I went to high school with has gone completely crazy in the past year or so. She spends ALL DAY on Facebook and Twitter talking about dozens of people from our high school class (graduated in 96) and other grades, and people from her life after high school. Accusing good friends of terrible things, things that could ruin their reputations professionally, stuff that's all total BS.
She wrote stuff about me and my family during the past week, nothing accusatory or damaging, but more stuff that is hurtful and not true. I reported her profile, and the posts, and FB's response is always the same: We reviewed your report and found that nothing in this profile that violates our community standards.
OK so constantly accusing people of crimes, rape, spreading lies about people, and being clearly mentally unhinged is acceptable in the Facebook universe. Got it. One of my friends already had a lawyer involved to try and shut her profile down. It's ridiculous.
