Was driving my daughter to an inter-school academic challenge the other day. Lot's of traffic and I could see she was pretty nervous. She became more and more quiet as we drove. I asked a few times if he was OK, and she just nodded. Then....

All over the front seat, her legs, the floor, her school bag. FFS, it was gross.
She does a few spits on the floor and then proclaims "phew, I feel much better now Dad".
I was so proud...

was looking through my 8yr old daughters school work a few days ago. she'd brought some home for us to have a look at....
there was a big poster, sort of a 'this is my life' kind of project....drawings of us, lists of her favourite things...
for music, she named 'Killing Joke' as her top fav....my wife and i laughed our heads off.....
i play the album 'brighter than a thousand suns' a lot in the car...
apparently the song 'adorations' has made a big impact :)also, for the past few days she's been requesting 'The Hurricane' by Dylan over and over....she's fucking obsessed with that tune right now...
man...she's awesome..

My daughter is a couple days out from being 5 months old. We've been doing baby-sign language with her and i'm officially a convert. I was really skeptical of it at first... but it works. She's smart enough to know what the signs mean... especially milk!

Reading this thread makes me even more excited to be a dad.. we're due July 8th. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by since we found out.

Just last week in child custody court I basically bought my stepson from his father. It was a very very proud moment in my life.
His father was trying to reduce the child support payments from my wife saying that he wanted more time with his son. Time = Less Child Support.
So after months of dealing with the courts I told him to keep his money and we will keep visiting hours the way they currently are, and that dirtbag took the deal.
I recorded the whole thing on my iPhone so he can never say it never happened to anyone.

^ mate i can completely understand, my lady's ex is pondlife, utter toilet scum. he see's his 3 kids for 8 hours a week, no more, no less.
he pays child support but keeps working 'toil' time to then get himself re-assessed and then pay less than he has been, duping the system and keeping more cash to himself. the kids think he's the best thing since sliced bread and i bite my tongue every time i see him.
the kids always were staying over ever other week but the twat has an alcoholic brother in law who has pissed in the hallway infront of the girls at 6 in the morning one too many times, they are basically a family of irish gypsies...
their dad has played up so much my lady has met him in court but he pretends he knows not of half the things he's said in the past.
infact the whole reason he acts like such a tit id because he is jealous of OUR son we have together (even though he has three of his own?!) and the fact we have the house and all he took when he left was the 20k he was offered! which he has since blown.
anyways... his kids are great and i get to see them way more than him. but thats totally up to him.
