actually did some adulting the other day and cancelled 2 pre-orders I had for a TR-06 and the Aphex Bassstation 2..
the lust was hard but given the current backlog of uninstalled hardware, it just felt excessive.I know I will be kicking myself later when I go to buy them and they are no longer available.. and eventually will spend more to get them.

I got my kid into Garageband. granted he is just arranging loops, but he is into itautoflavour - Cycles has a great kid-friendly form factor imo, can be tossed around, lots of knobs and sounds built it to mess with, easy to create beats n loopsprophetone

Just got the M-Audio Oxygen 25 controller yesterday and I love it. Full size keys with a great feel to them. Plus I just discovered the Step Sequencer in Logic, and that's a whole other wormhole.

been on the lookout for a MD MK2 for ages, and then finally one came up and I grabbed it.
would have preferred a UW version, but to be honest there is enough other devices to cover that.
Anyway, kind of glad I canceled the other things recently otherwise I would have missed this..
