The music I make is a little less beat / synth focused, but this thread seems to be the central music-making thread here. I've got a new IG profile for my music project, called The Ageless Sea. Website and more songs coming soon, hopefully by the end of the month. 2020 is the year for me to be a lot more active in music than I have been for the past several years. :)
- Followed you mg, as an inspiration for myself to prioritize my own music this year too.
Also, nice stuff!nocomply - Thank you! I'm trying to get the hang of making good videos. I think you'll like the site when I done with it as well.mg33
- nice idea, putting music doodlings on ig. followedhans_glib
- Joyo amp sims!section_014
- Hans - yeah, it's amazing how many musicians do this. I just wanted it separate from my photo IG account.mg33
- section_014 - I'll have a blog post on the site once it's done about the Joyo sims and the Cabzeus. Such a phenomenal combo.mg33
- Practically does exactly what my amp setup sounded like, for direct recording. I wouldn't change a thing with it.mg33
- Yep man, I love those things so much. I have the two you featured, plus the Marshall and Oranges clones. So good.section_014

- You do have a shit ton of hardware though? So stripping back a bit should be nice yeah?Ianbolton

Got this for myself as a birthday gift.
It's been a while since I got this excited about an equipment.
Specially the OP-Z. This little thing is a monster...!
Went to sleep around 4:00 Am, just creating loops and more loops..- Ah dang... the link...
Oh wait, let me delete this.
Oh wait...Fabricio - thumbs upprophetone

- Would be pretty perfect if... ui set as 100% black/white monochrome, all the colors for pads/buttons white/red only, text/logos dark grey... darth vader it out!prophetone
- $700 usd / $900 cadprophetone
- impressive kit and price but i'd spend all day bent over that screen and wonder why i hadn't just used a laptop...kingsteven
- not to be hater, but why? gimme abledroid any dayautoflavour
- Time to retire the 1000futurefood
- well it’s a stand-alone unit which people have wanted, and a button-based interface of early mpcs but with modern approachprophetone
- for me the stand-alone aspect with this form factor makes sense... it’s the mpc2000 of the future and i really like itprophetone
- that being said if I’m being 100% honest here, for $900 I’d be looking at an mpc60 insteadprophetone
- that’s just me, but for many beat heads this is also just the ticket for live beat battles or performances, is stable, flexibleprophetone
- same, loving my wee model:samples for the limitations... i think of the old MPCs as instruments, this is a hardware DAWkingsteven
- I'd wait for long term reviews of this thing. Outside of my s900, Akai has been the most unreliable brand for me.section_014
- where you gonna get an mpc60 for $900?! :P I agree that this is a good stable box esp for beat makers, finger drummers etc to take on the go without laptop etc.microkorg
- could even make your beats on a computer and port them onto here for 'live' performance muting groups and fingerdrumming sometimes.microkorg
- bought mine a few years back for $450 on eBy - and in past several months a few have sold for $600-800 ish... just gotta be on the lookoutprophetone
- ....MPC60's that isprophetone
- But agreed getting an MPC60 in excellent shape on eBay for under $1k now is rare... it's iconic now so price is getting ridiculous, like the SP pricesprophetone
- fairplay to akai for creating all the tutorial videos for beats academy for the ONE.microkorg

- can't tell how I feel.. part of me is like "its too early for April fools" ..autoflavour
- ahhh its actually a kids synth for real..autoflavour
- there is a white one from a few year’s back and was aimed at kids... this one is a level up for adult kidsprophetone

- wowrenderedred
- That demo sounds really nice. Hopefully they do a cheap (price, not quality) case.section_014
- nice, i have a frequency central system 100 eurorack clone... i wonder how it compares.kingsteven
- wow, that's actually incredible. the frequency central ones don't quite squeeze all the controls of the original on therekingsteven
- a full synth voice for $99 ooft. may have to expand my euro systemkingsteven
- oh man there they are... https://media.giphy.…prophetone
- so obvious that was going to happen.. behringer just going to keep releasing until the industry collapsesautoflavour
- apparently there's a moog wall on the way as well..hans_glib

- luv this guyprophetone
- yeah, his stuff has got crazy recently... the part 2 of this build with polyphony working is incredible.kingsteven

It’s NAMM time again..
my wallet already hurts ..The Moog Subsequent 25 is cute, but still would go for the 37
- needed to find a photo of it with some scale to it https://assets.newat…prophetone
- whoops nvrmnd posted it belowprophetone
- autoflavour0
- $850 usd / $1,150 cadprophetone
- people out there wondering purpose of it really, but it seems like just another option that's a great little workhorse for a moog first-timer?prophetone
- it's def a cute lil sherman tank of a moog, looks really solid, love the build quality they put outprophetone
- 25 keys is about as worthless as it gets. Just make it a module for fuck's sake.section_014
- just makes me want the 37 moreautoflavour

- Looks like my old one, was into pawn shops in the late 70s, bought 2 Moogs nobody wanted. Sold for 5 bucks in college garage sale. Yeah I know.robotron3k

Boring question.... But what app do you guys use to listen to your bounces / WIPs? Am on Mac/iPhone.
Have been on iTunes for as long as can remember, but now finally think will succumb to the whole cloud apple music thing. But don't want all my music uploaded to the internet... and be forced to wait for shit to sync all the time...
Looking for something easy and quick so can bounce an idea down, throw it on my phone and listen to in the car / gym etc....
- vlc on android sozkingsteven
- vlc has playlists?inteliboy
- I got OCD about id3 tags and iTunes playlists, ditched it years ago and just manually sort in folders now.kingsteven
- i just drag folders to my phone's SD card and open in VLC... big reason why i switched to android was to be able to keep shit simple like that.kingsteven
- ah cool I see. will look into it.inteliboy
- I bounce WIP songs to a folder on my NAS, and that particular photo has an auto-sync to Google Drive. Songs are everywhere I need them.mg33
- Only started this in October and it’s been hugely helpful.mg33
- I usually just throw in a google drive folder and load that up on my phonemantrakid
- prophetone1
- oh mykingsteven
- actually disappointingly seems like a clone of the 606 sequencer. no instant pattern switching?kingsteven
- Behringer making things no one asked for.. I had a 606 for a few years.. yawnautoflavour
- you canals the same sounds in logic pro, and sequence a boring drum pattern there... what's the point.shapesalad
