Sounds like you're in a jam so here's an eps of a bike I made a couple of weeks ago. Feel free to use it if you decide go with a bike in your logo.
- You can grab elements of the bike such as the chain or gears.visualplane

Next time, I recommend jumpstarting your creative process – as well as strengthening your relationship with the client – by conducting a workshop with them before you start sketching. Email me if you want details on how we do it. I started conducting workshops with our clients this year, and it's drastically reducing time spent on revisions. No more headaches or nausea leading up to presentations.
- Is 'workshop' pretentious for 'meeting'?detritus
- He likes to use "workshop" because Jesus was a carpenter.CanHasQBN
- nail, meet hammeralbums
- No, it's not pretentious. We don't just meet, we work side by side. It's a cut above a brainstorming session.gramme
- Scratch that... it's about 10 cuts above a brainstorming session.gramme
- It engages the client in a way that 95% of all design studios are too afraid to try, or haven't considered yet.gramme
- Nice one, I bet they love it, don't they ? And it really goes a long way when they see the bill :)mikotondria3

Great ideas will come to you once you stop thinking about them, like after you get fired.

Leave the office. Go for a run. Read a book. Go see a movie. I find diversions like that are always super helpful.

There's a famous story about how Frank LLoyd Wright procrastinated for months when designing Fallingwater and banged out the designs 2 hours before Kaufmann showed up to review them.

I always try drawing all the cliches first. As many as I can think of. From there I try to improve the better ones or try to go for a totally different approach.....or smoke a joint and have fun with it, cheers!

I'm also doing a logo for a bike shop.
Already have three versions to present, I'm just building up the pdf for the presentation.I have a version with chains, other with the fork and one with nothing bike related but in itself has to do with cycling.
Took me a while, not two days for sure.

That's when you call the client, tell them you're not 100% happy with what you have to present and want to refine it further, and postpone the meeting.

Why did you get hired?

Instead of 'what', maybe try 'why'?
