During the outing, the play got out of hand for a couple of the family’s other dogs (not Baby Girl), and their owner was bitten while separating them. When the NYPD officers arrived, the situation had been resolved; that did not stop them from making it worse, however. In the ensuing confusion, a very scared Baby Girl made a run for the woods.
And that’s when the police officer shot her. In a public park. With families and children in the area. While she was terrified and running away. The horrific wounds on her body tell that tale very clearly.
