random thought. why does the os sometiimes require password over fingerprint? what layer of security does that [not] provide? anyone can type in the password. only i can unlock it with my finger.

Anyone have experience with Apple Care? I don't have it and the screen on my 2019 MBP is buggered. Colors are all over the place. Casually asked in the apple store and they said £1.5k to replace the screen and motherboard!!
Do you think I could take out Apple Care and after 60 days report the fault?

Any of you using a magic mouse on a computer with Sonoma and find that the mouse lags like hell? I've had this problem for two weeks or so. Bought a new one today and it worked great until the past 30 minutes. It's driving me insane.
