Yuri, your logic is naive at best. Carrying a WEAPON that was designed to kill HUMANS (not deer, not chipmunks, for Christ's sake) is NOT exercising your right to bear arms. Nowhere does it say "You are free to carry assault weapons at the expense of public peace". Nowhere.
How is the govt not serving me? I fail to see that logic too. I may not agree with some things, but I don't pretend to be some egotistical moron and prance around with my KILLING toy.
Further, I've never seen an innocent by stander get accidentally killed when someone drops their fried chicken!

Are they suggesting that Open Carry participants are not threatening anyone? That they are not aggressively seeking confrontation with those who disagree with them?

If and when the time comes when you actually need to use a gun, are you really going to give two diddly shits whether or not the one in your hand is legal or illegal?
Beyond the actual marketing of said guns, the right to bear arms is fucking stupid.

If you keep on arguing with yuri, your logical arguments are automatically refuted (even if your arguments make sense and his don't) for your inability to see that it is no NOT about logic but very primal fear and intellectual inbreeding.
Why is it that nowhere else but the US you have such strong movement for - to use Nazi naming - the "final solution" - the "what to do when shit hits the fan"? The organic movement (fuck the mega food conglomerates, when shit hits the fun at least i'll eat healthy tomato), the small house movement (fuck the system, when shit hits the fan i'll live in a small cabin), the pro gun movement (when shit hits the fan and the gov't or some black robber - of course black, who else - comes to do me harm i'll be prepared)... All those indicated something troubling in American mindset - total lack of faith in the future. It's easy to say from Euro perspective how fucked-up Americans are but most Europeans never had to face - as someone eloquently said above - being considered nothing but a human machine. To work and then find ways to pay for medical bills when the machine breaks down and health services are required. You want education - you pay, you want decent food - you pay, you want health - you pay, you want liberty - fuck you, here is some mindless entertainment with 100+ channels so you can assume you have "freedom to choose." For all the privilege of you paying for everything and not getting anything in return, pay up over 35% of what you make in taxes. Faced with that, a mindless American simpleton can't help but be thinking about the doomsday. Yes, guns kill, but taking those guns away (which would be a good first step), won't change those deeply internalized thoughts about the looming doom. Incidentally if typical Americans were NOT simpletons, if they actually knew anything about history (thus knew that the world is NOT coming to an end as "world's end" happened numerous times in in the past often with positive outcome for the masses) and had ability (through better education) to put that knowledge in proper context they would understand that to think in "final solution" terms of dooms day is absolutely silly.
