Would be funny if the stubborn Glaswegians went independent on their own.
That said I'm not sure the rest of Scotland would mind, their crime rates would drop dramatically.

i don't get it either.. if 51% of a population feels a certain way, i don't think that 49% should have to suffer. the world is big enough to hold different ideas, have many nations of diversity, why is that it has to be one big ol' group? i'd prefer to live in a world of virtual nations, where individuals choose the system they want to support and be supported by, or don't choose one at all. democracy IMO still is a type of unfair force-feeding of the masses..

This is a very vague idea... Things have to be simple to apply at large humanz scale.

@biznutty Just move to a place where you feel the system is better, if people around you always vote differently and support a system you feel isn't in your best interest then you are free to settle anywhere you want. A system is by definition a shared experience, if most people in that system have different goals than yours then you'll always feel frustrated.

I am still puzzled by the nation state concept. And "nationalities" for that matter. Yes or No, whatever the outcome, borders, governments and all that, unions of any kind are already outdated. Still, for some reason, people like to be hurdled into big ghettos and controlled in this or the other way. Abolishing that would be a real referendum on human and individual rights. That is something all people(s) should be aiming for before politicians, big business, banks and the lot run us all into the ground. But, I know, we're just in the 21st century, there's a long way to go before the thinking changes. Most humans still believe there's a God. :)

@bumdrizzle Erm no, I think you'll find I was pointing out the irony of someone being forced to vote for freedom.
And I don't think its new to anyone in the UK that both Rangers and Celtic fans have issues and much footage can be found of both sides being as bad as each other.
