there's someone here that can't accept that the people in powers have been raping children since the dawn of men, so instead of confronting the problem, he downvoted every post that is critical of this sick system,

I can't wrap my mind around this kind of mentality and it was all in the last 15 min,

One thing you can say about these theories...they all seem to view the world through a moral prism. The evil cabal oppressing the masses who without this oppression would achieve their real potential.

In that respect it's not much different from other ideologies which all blame some external group. Communism which blames capitalists. Feminism which blames men. Right wing groups which blames immigrants.

Is it possible that the problems and the limitations in the world are real and that blaming some group of elites is just a convenient excuse?

    • lol, real potential? What. The. Fuck. Are you talking about? holy shit your brain makes the weirdest connectionsmonospaced
    • true, natural law principles have a moralist aspect to them. you have factors of consent through none action. divide and conquer seems to work through outyurimon
    • the ages. but I think its more of a cause and effect. action through ignorance of a mass will have an effect. reap what you sow.yurimon
    • collective action or lack of action will yield an effect by those who know how to control unless each individual wakes up and yield proper action collectivelyyurimon
    • the quality of the mass in action will yield proper results. if ignorant fcks act you get what happened in communist revolution. the energy of the mass stolen.yurimon
    • If you still fail to see that diet, education and media is designed to deny humans their true potential, then there is no hope for you.
      ********
    • Why are you so convinced that if you left people to their own devices none of those problems would exist? Why blame someone else? Just solve the problems.yuekit
    • Also when you take such a negative view it ignores the fact that living conditions have been improving for the vast majority of people.yuekit
  • georgesIII-4

    @ukit,

believing in certain theories, pretty much depends on where you were born,

e.g: someone coming from africa, will be more accepting of the theories that the franceafrique is real, because of the accord still dictating every facet of their life,

e.g: someone coming from south america, will be more accepting of the US incursion and destabilisation of their economies than someone coming from a western economy,

e.g: someone coming from the middle east, will be also more aware of the foreign destabilisations ,

and so on and so on,

I often think that the only reason most people in developed countries believe there is no hidden hand is simply because they haven't lived through the repercussions of that hand,

another example, Italians know there's a paralel power/economy running their country, everyone knows it now, but until 30years ago, the mafia didn't exist, even though it was running the country from behind and still is.

I guess it is the same for the subject of pedophilia, most will ignore it because they do not know how ingrained it is in our political system (worldwide) until one day everything will surface (hopefully)

    • I get what you're saying. But I think you have to distinguish stuff that is real and well documented...such as Shell Oil's paying off the Nigeria government...yuekit
    • and things that are just fantastical, like a single group of people controlling every world government. The existence of corruption and spying does not justifyyuekit
    • believing every single theory that is out there.yuekit
    • Similar to the comparison I made above, feminists can point to individual instances of discrimination and claim that every man is sexist when that's obviouslyyuekit
    • a huge oversimplification. Right wingers can repeat every negative fact about Muslims until it looks like they are taking over the world, etc..yuekit
    • People love simple explanations. The messy, complicated reality of the world where no one's really in charge is much scarier.yuekit
    • noones ignoring it lol - its all over the news everyday in the UK... jesus - the problem is you view everything form your bubble and presume everyone else is afadein11
    • potential enemy... open your mind a little (and not in the conspiracy sense) - there are plenty of people who have the same feelings (here included) - you justfadein11

@uekit, posting here because the note killed the link,

There is actually a research paper Princeton and Northwestern did that say clearly state that the "elite" has more power to influence policies than the population.

    here's the pdf, it's a good read:
    http://scholar.princeton.edu/sit…

Each of four theoretical traditions in the study of American politics—which can be characterized as theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy, Economic-Elite Domination, and two types of interest-group pluralism, Majoritarian Pluralism and Biased Pluralism—offers different predictions about which sets of actors have how much influence over public policy: average citizens; economic elites; and organized interest groups, mass-based or business-oriented.

A great deal of empirical research speaks to the policy influence of one or another set of actors, but until recently it has not been possible to test these contrasting theoretical predictions against each other within a single statistical model. We report on an effort to do so, using a unique data set that includes measures of the key variables for 1,779 policy issues.

Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.

    • go to the "American Democracy?" bit if you don't want to read the whole thinggeorgesIII
    • So rich and powerful people have influence, not really surprising. But they aren't all working together, and don't control everything that happens in the world.yuekit
    • These links you're posting don't come close to proving the kind of stuff people like David Icke are claiming.yuekit
    • What proof do up you have to back up your belief, ukit?
      ********
    • Just curious. The sceptics are often as crazy and illogical as the conspiracy theorists.

So you gather beliefs from David Icke videos?

Soon you'll be saying how we consciousness changes matter at the quantum level because What The Bleep told you so.

Don't get me wrong, I find this stuff fascinating. I saw this guy live last year http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dav… --- though to take it oh so seriously, and hammer yuekit down for being the only logical cunt here is really stretching it.

    • belief and action are related. probably the main point. as far as quantum or social change it is more likely if belief and action work together more likeyurimon
    • 100 monkey experiment related to change perception or experiences.yurimon
    • However not sure of your spiritual aptitude, if you ever tried these concepts. but also have to be careful because not to open up to much. there r negativeyurimon
    • forces out there.yurimon
    • then again is it a belief? how far can this be taken. From my experience what he is saying is only one aspect. its more imbedded in system of kabalah.yurimon
    • maybe its related to the feed back of instincts that serve as a warning vs the ability to create your reality. cause obviously a moving car toward means getyurimon
    • out the way and not im going to warp reality for it to stop.yurimon
