"CEOs and insiders sell a record $69 billion of their stock, and the year isn't over yet"
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/01/…
"CEOs and corporate insiders have sold a record $69 billion in stock in 2021, as looming tax hikes and lofty share prices encourage many to take profits.
As of Monday, sales by insiders are up 30% from 2020 to $69 billion, and up 79% versus a 10-year average, according to InsiderScore/Verity.
The selling is likely to increase even more as December is often an active month for sales due to tax planning."

Last year after the Tesla battery day I bought some Ford shares.
It is still a buy :D

$ARKK still under $100...

Are index funds the best and safest investments?
VOO
VII
ARKK
QQQWhich one is best?
- index = all. all = some good some bad. compare indexes to the bigger market index, adjust for inflation + fees.shapesalad
- Hard to go wrong with a major index, if you want a slow but steady long term growth.monospaced
- VOO has a solid record. I just added to my position. I have ARKK, too, but I consider that very speculative.formed

- I bought more Ford and Toyota when you told us they would tank due to chip shortages. Im up significantly. Thanks.monospaced
- ^ lolformed
- @monospaced define "up significantly" lol
watch out, you might get hired by one of these hedge funds with a track record like thatgrafician - but sure, boasting about your stock picks is the ONLY thing you're good at around here
*rolling eyes*grafician - Out of curiosity: Toyota 5.28% over 3 months, so if you call that "up significantly" that's a weird flex
But good for yougrafician - < I posted this because:
S&P 500: +27.23% Year-to-Date
Hedge Funds: less than that ^grafician - Since YOUR stock pick nonsense, I’m up almost 50% on ford and 10% on Toyota. It’s not boasting. This is the stock thread.monospaced
- Thanks for being wrong :)monospaced
- It’s not a weird flex either. Maybe to you since you don’t buy or sell stock at all?monospaced
- You're an idiot monospaced, and will continue to be also in 2022:
https://www.qbn.com/…grafician - @monospaced you're also an investor by the way you boast, not a trader, so maybe shut the fuck up about stock picks when my posts are all about trading stocksgrafician
- also trading can get you A LOT MORE than passively picking stocks and holding you idiot, just like 4 months ago you could've made over 10% shorting car stock...grafician
- ...but you made 10% on toyota while buying and holding 4 fucking months
Sure, to each his own how they make moneygrafician - I’m not an investor or trader, and neither are you. I’m a graphic designer, and I happen to have some holdings like most responsible adults.monospaced
- Im no idiot. I’m not boasting either, I’m thanking you for your incorrect analysis as it resulted in significant returns for me.monospaced
- I make my money through hard work and a handsome salary. My investments are there to build a stable future nest egg. Never was about getting rich fast. Moron.monospaced
- Just admit you were wrong already and stop linking back to the post proving it. And calm the fuck down, you’re triggered AF again and your Tourette’s is showingmonospaced
- Have you noticed you're the only one around here explaining your positions, your holdings, your whatever
Lol what a toolgrafician - And wrong about what?! I literally gave you the original link you moron, where I specifically said "Look into car stocks for shorts near future"grafician
- And WTF has anything of this has to do with the fucking post about Hedge funds but you wanted to boast AGAIN about how you pick stocks lolgrafician
- And you say you have investments to build a stable nest then go on QBN and pick stocks and boast about your performance?! LOL Make up your damn mindgrafician
- Not to mention I am never "triggered" I'm just ridiculing you for being a tool that thinks he's a great investor or whatever
Stop fucking commenting on my postgrafician - unless you actually contribute something useful to the topic at hand, then sure, go aheadgrafician
- I'm thinking 'triggered' as well, no other reason to spew that much bile. Can't tell if it's rage at being wrong or jealousy of mono's success tho'BuddhaHat
- I'm just thanking you for being wrong before. Can't you take a compliment?monospaced
- I'm not "boasting" either. What's a stock thread if people can't talk aqbout how they perform? If you can't handle it, fuck off already.monospaced
- I NEVER said I was a great investor. You're just making shit up now. I have every right to be here, probably more than you, since I actually do invest.monospaced
- From what I gather, you just like trolling, making really bad predictions, but don't actually have a penny in the game. Is that right?monospaced
- If you have a problem with me having a portfolio, then you're being weird. I'm no different than my demographic, all of which have portfolios, and should.monospaced
- Now, the FACT remains that YOU made a shit prediction, and me knowing that you are good at those, I bet the opposite and it worked out well. THANK YOU.monospaced
- You seem to think this thread is for you to copy/paste shit from reddit, but you're wrong. It's for people to talk about stocks, which includes me.monospaced
- So, if you would please, stop being so fucking TRIGGERED over anything I say, and just admit you were wrong. It's okay, you sad little euro childish asshole.monospaced

If the stock market looks less attractive for a while (plausible) then we’re in for even more of the “real estate is the safest investment” people and we can expect the housing bubble to grow even more insane.
:(
- My rent hasn’t gone up in 4 years. I’m saving, but can’t save fast enough to keep up with the insane housing marketnb
- I bought my house days before the pandemic. It’s appreciated 20%!monospaced
- Monospaced: if you only own one house, you’re no better off with that extra 20%.nb
- @monospaced that's a liability if you don't flip it
renting/saving/inves... would've made you a lot more ofcgrafician - @nb bubbles pop every decade, we're overduegrafician
- People aren't going to pile in RE with rates rising and construction costs at all-time highs. It'll correct with everything else, just might not be as drastic.formed
- @formed People are already doing that and have been for a couple years consistentlynb
- People aren't saying 'hey, I"ll sell my stocks to buy a home'. They'd put money in REITs or private development investments.formed
- In no way is my home a liability. What a ridiculous thing to say. LOLmonospaced
- I didn’t buy the home to make money, what a stupid fuck assumption. Also a stupid assumption is thinking I didn’t invest in other things.monospaced
- But the most stupid thing is that you imply I’m better of selling it. Weird as fuck dude. It’s my home. LOL.monospaced
- I 100% expect you to get triggered AF and resort to insulting me. So go ahead. Leave the house talk to the adults here who actually have them.monospaced
- @nb, I never implied I was better off with that 20%. Im just remarking on the housing bubble nothing more, just my anecdote which is completely on topic.monospaced
- But of course I’m happy. Growing equity is never a bad thing. Ever. There is literally no downside to appreciation. It will pay off later, obviously.monospaced
- I mostly agree with you, mono.nb
- But there can be a downside to rapid appreciation.nb
- Meanwhile even Elon Musk rents...
But you know better lol
Typical American suburbia mentalitygrafician - The part that people forget when claiming your home is not a good investment is that you LIVE in it, that it is a HIGHER quality than any apartment, etc.formed
- For sale buildings will always be built to a higher standard than disposable, rentals.formed
- Europe disagrees with that statement.grafician

VOO isn't doing well?
