Re: buying the dip. I'd wait for it. Consensus opinion is (suddenly) that we're headed into recession, and we likely won't hit bottom til we're well into it. In 2008, markets fell close to 50% before they bottomed out, and it took about two years to get there. The 2001 dot com crash also took 2+ years to hit bottom.
I heard it said recently that Trump's first term is "the dog chasing cars, caught the car," and now his second term is "the dog is driving the car."
