Prometheus felt like some cynical profiteer at Fox or wherever decided enough time had passed to reboot the franchise, so it's full of almost-familiar elements and such, and your expectations are high because you're a fan of the original series, but it sucks anyway.

Maybe because I'm a Dad of 2 young kids and am somewhat pop culture starved, but i fucking love the look of this, and would be super happy to just sit for 2 hours and watch it!
