@jagara
I was talking to my wife about the actress that plays Eleven earlier tonight. The other day I was listening to a radio show where one of the hosts was a friend of her parents.Seemingly as a kid she was really talented with acting and singing (covering stuff like amy winehouse) but her folks didnt have the money to send her to acting school etc.
She went for an audition for something and was told that they MUST get her to the US and Hollywood as she had massive talents. So her folks borrowed money from friends/family to get her over there. Soon after over there she landed the Stranger Things gig ...
The guy was singing her praises massively saying that she's got a really mature head on her - like that of a 30yo rather than a 15yo.

On a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being "it's so bad I want to vomit" how bad is the 3rd season really?
I stand by my assessment that season 2 was somebody's kickass 80's play trying to be wrapped in a plot that got boring fast.
- 4? I liked it way better than season 2. But, I don't feel like I want to rewatch it.section_014
- same, was good, better than S2... but really none of the scary, suspenseful magic from S1, in fact more of a comedy?prophetone
- good enough for one binge watchprophetone
- Season 1 = 1, Season 2 = 5, Season 3 = 3zarkonite
- Wait, how are your scales 1 being good and 10 being bad?ArmandoEstrada
- S1 = 2, S2 = 4, S3 = 6e-wo
- Your scales are weird.
Season 3-
Act I - Really damn good
Act II - Pretty damn good
Act III - Shit, this again.DRIFTMONKEY - the scales are weird b/c they are... upside downprophetone
- I found season 2 tedious but enjoyed the new season. Seems like they made a choice to shift the tone into more of a comedy/ mash up of 80s references.yuekit
- Upsidedown? appropriatejaylarson
- It ain't dark. But it's GOOD.robthelad
- Yuekit - “more of a mashup of 80’s...” that doesn’t sell it to me. That’s what I like least about it.mg33
- our family just finished it last night. big thumbs up from us :) We've enjoyed all 3 seasons.exador1

I enjoyed the shit out of S3. This isn't oscar-level writing we're talking about here, so there are going to be some plot holes and what but. But this is just a fun, nostalgic throwback that's got some kick-ass sci-fi and horror elements, which I love. I've watched all three seasons with my son, and his level of enjoyment reminds me to stop being so critical and just have fun. We finished it last week and he's still talking about it, so there you go.
Yeah, the first few episodes of S3 were a bit slow, but that's from a purely action standpoint. I liked the story development and we're getting to spend time with characters that we love, so big whoop if it was a little slow to start. It paid off in the end. Best season so far in my opinion.

Netflix, ‘Stranger Things’ Creators Sued for Copyright Infringement
Netflix and the creators of “Stranger Things,” Matt and Ross Duffer, are being sued by a company that says the idea for the hit show was stolen from a screenplay called “Totem.”
According to the lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in California federal court, Irish Rover Entertainment says that “Stranger Things” copies a lot from “Totem,” a screenplay written by Jeffrey Kennedy, including “plot, sequence, characters, theme, dialogue, mood, and setting, as well as copyrighted concept art.”
The lawsuit says the two projects are connected by a man named Aaron Sims, who worked closely with Kennedy during its development. Sims, the lawsuit says, was hired to create the concept art for the first two seasons of “Stranger Things.”''
