- I bought a few bags down at my local Vegan spot on your recommendation Nairn. Liked these ones but my god the Bombay Mix and Masala Dippers are incredible...kingsteven
- The other ones 'Bakarwadi' are more sweet spices... great but found it hard to get through them. Top recommendation!kingsteven
- I must admit, I glossed over the Bombay Mix which is stupid, as I love the shit. Haven't seen the Masala Dippers. Will buy when I do!Nairn

- I can never figure out how to cook an egg on these without sticking...inteliboy
- you have to prove it and then never wash it basically.hans_glib
- you need to season these like you season cast iron. once you season it, the coating is pretty much none stick. you can bake with these as well.pango
- since they can withstand higher heat than none stick. the profile of these is like a bridge between stainless steel and cast iron.pango
- you can still wash them. just gotta use lil soap and make sure you wipe and heat dry. the idea you can't use soap was because old soap back in the day had lye.pango
- and it could wash away the seasoning (none-stick coating).pango
- People like this traditional pan because it heats up fast like stainless steel and holds heat like cast iron. and if the none stick coating is ruined. you canpango
- always re-season them.
...
ya like i said... youtube rabbit hole....pango - btw. if your pan doesn't look close to the photo on the right, it has not been seasoned
https://i.ytimg.com/…pango - Btw if you have stainless steel pan, don't season it. It should remain Silver and yes it sticks easier.pango
- I’ve had this exact pan for 12 years. It’s excellent.monospaced
- Yes, it’s black carbon steel so you should season it to pure black. It’s non stick if you grease the pan and use the right heat.monospaced
- This pan should look black like a cast iron. But the whole “don’t wash” thing is a huge crock of ignorant bullshit novices who don’t know crap.monospaced
- For eggs, buy a Dash Egg Cooker. Steams eggs three ways and is small and fun to use!stoplying
- or just put a steammer in the saucepan. skip more plastic single-use stuffpango
- if you have a rice cooker, that's a steamer already.pango
