Oh Jesus, oh G-d, oh - my stomach hurts so much - who'd have thought that a quarter kilo of mixed nuts and a bottle of Irn-Bru would mix so bad?
I think .. well, don't want to go into too much detail - but I think it was a bad idea.

I've been wondering this for some time now--what is Irn Bru? a soda? The Scottish equivalent of Coca Cola? Why is it so all prevasive in the culture?
- It's a orange-coloured soda that an acquaintance once derided as "tasting like bubble gum". It took a lot not to slap 'imanairn
- Scotland's one of the few countries in the world where Coke isn't the #1 drink.
It's all we've got left to us.anairn - Irn-Bru is amazing :Echossy
- If you email me your address, I'll send you a can sometime, anairn
- does it have a lot of caffeine? It seems to have mystical powers in the detetctive novels********
- 'detective novels'? On checking t'internets, apparently it has 4mg/ltr more caffeine than cola. Huh.anairn
- Its made from girders Magru.SkyPoo
- its just so sugary and so high in caffeine that it can lift you temporarily out of a hungover statekelpie

Left Field stage at Glastonbury 08.She also plays guitar for garage-noise low life collective
The London Dirthole Company. "I don't like that she supported babyshambles! boo

Brooding dark clouds bode well not for open air concert in 3 hours.
Fuck you, Britain.
- anairn0
And Lo! 30 seconds later, the clouds doth open and the rain falls plentifully.
*takes back all bad things said to in rybo's and eighteen's threads*
COME BACK TO ME, KARMA - COME BACK, YOU BITCH!
- anairn0
a coupla minutes later, one of my pal's just called - motorbike accident, seriously fucked leg. Won't be coming to concert.
Solipsist that I am, I can't help feeling his pain is somehow my punishment.
Sorry, Karma - I shouldn't've called you a bitch - IT WAS A MEEK ATTEMPT AT IRONY, GODDAMN YOU! *weeps*

My wife bought a bushel of tomatoes for $15 yesterday at the farmers market. Mostly they were seconds (ones that people wouldn't generally buy to but in salads or whatever). He also threw in a freezer bag of basil. They have since been washed, cored and pureed and are currently cooking alog with a half a bag of onion and two jars of minced garlic. Should make at least enough sauce for the winter
- DON'T SAY THE 'W' WORD!
YOU BASTARD!
*holds, for dear life, onto the sad remnants of a Brit summer*anairn - Nice. I usually buy the garlic and ginger and peel them first. Then I either grate or mince them. Grating is better.Jaline
- We also get tomatoes from a farm. Every few years we go and stock up for another few years. We also buy fresh ones.Jaline
- and crap, it's going to be winter soon here in Canada!Jaline

A few hills away, barefoot under a tree and still in the first chapter of her New York life, Katie Richanbach, a 19-year-old newcomer from Oregon, was reading Rona Jaffe’s 28-year-old best seller “Class Reunion.” She had bought it at the Strand, “where I buy all my books,” she said, smoothing her sunset-colored cotton dress and reveling in her new persona as a soon-to-be freshman at the Parsons School for Design.
- I love Strand, but I usually find stuff cheaper elsewhereismith
