So when you die a QBN death do all your posts and comments disappear or just posts? I can still see Drake's comments yet no posts in the politics thread.

    • so when you petition constantly for someone to get banned and then it happens, do you continue to talk about them because you miss the drama
      ********
    • lol - the only man on QBN who supported Drake - boohoo, do you miss him bless.
Was a genuine question. I have a lost an account before and can't remember.
      fadein11
    • no, it's all preservedscarabin
    • weird none of his political posts are visible. It makes sense to do it like that obviously as a lot of people would commit QBN suicide to hide their shit.fadein11

I love this age of mankind in which we live.
This incredible diversity of thoughts, beliefs and ideas. That people living in different continents can easily have a simple conversation, or work for each other without leaving the country, that grandmother who can barely see but shares photos with the world, that we finally started to care about the planet what keeps us alive, and we look at the fucking Mars as a destination to put our feet on.

As a kid, I was just dreaming about these technological inventions which we use today while I was reading my fathers scifi books. I couldn't have imagined that some of them can become a reality in my life. The tools around me grown up to my imagination and this sometimes makes me feel that I'm dreaming, but the environment in which I live pulls back to the reality and that's my motivation move forward and invest more in the future. I'm lucky because didn't had to give up any of my dreams, just work hard and take care of myself. The energy what I invested in my field now brings opportunities which I always wanted. It was worth to suffer and miss the many chances to waste time with my friends or on hopeless relationships.

There is no doubt that I wouldn't have to be able to stay so open-minded without this site and the people who make this place so awesome. And I'm grateful to everyone, even for those who believe that I don't think of them in the most positive way. The only thing that drives me in debates is to understand others' reasoning and the way they think.

I believe that every period of humanity there was a point when the people where thinking that this is the most awesome, and the most beautiful to live in, but I'm just happy that I can be a part of this one :)
This era of mankind is simply beautiful and I can only hope that we won't mess it up :)

ps: Overnight skype calls about work are the biggest love relationship killers.

    • statistically we're living in the best time possible. let's hope shit keeps getting better. the greedy baby boomers sure tried their best to mess everything up.inteliboy

    • And I'm quite down-to-earth when it's necessary :)sted
    • That was a good read to start my morning :-)Ianbolton

My MacBook Pro (2011) stopped working, weird graphical errors.

Took it to an Apple authorized service provider. Ther verdict: fried GPU, not possible to repair.

Took it to the dodgiest looking shop ever on Nørrebro in Copenhagen for a second opinion:

"No problem - i have fixed this issue many times before in Syria". Is what the guy said.

They fixed it. Appearently by reflowing (look it up!) the GPU. Price: 700 kr (100 $).

    • looking up 'reflowing'
      awestruck.

    • Apparently, all early 2011 MBP's have this issue. Apple even publicly apologised for it.jagara

    Jagara and anyone else,
Louis Rossman is trying to make a bill pass that will be a "right to repair" for anyone from any brand,

his channel is really informative and goes on and on about apple and how geniuses are fuckn mongoloids,
often it's just a single chip failing but instead of fixing it, apple will make you play an exorbitant price that will make most people just buy a new computer instead

    • From building and selling their own computers based on these documents?eryx
    • I totally understanding the demand for self-repairable machines, especially from Apple. It's something they used to pride themselves on, and now it's non-existemonospaced
    • But they can't keep a machine self-repairable AND maintain the smallest form-factors they're using now.monospaced

People say there are no perfect circles in nature. But there are. We humans create perfect circles all the time. And we are a part of nature. Why do we always exclude ourselves from "nature"?? If another animal (say a beetle) created a perfect circle from something, we'd say there are perfect circles in nature. But for some reason when humans makes perfect circles (in manufacturing, technology, etc.) it doesn't count.

    • Nevermind. I understand now. Thanks Google.iCanHazQBN
    • there is no such thing as a perfect circle. Theoretical concept.fadein11
    • Manufactured circles are never perfect just as good as they can be based on the processes used. You trolling?fadein11
    • "Nature" has two definitions. It's true that most people think of human activity as outside of nature, but really everything is nature.
      ********
    • fadein11, I agree with you. I said "nevermind" up top.iCanHazQBN
    • What I misunderstood by the word "perfect" is are we talking about "perfect" to the human eye and measuring tools?.. or "perfect" on the atomic level?iCanHazQBN
    • My comment is based on the premise that you have an idea of how "perfect" it needs to be.
      ********
    • But I think what's more interesting is that humans consider themselves to be separate from nature.
      ********
  • iCanHazQBN2

^ "Mathematically speaking, a circle is the set of points in a plane that are equidistant from a given point. For a circle to be perfect, you’d need all those points in the circle’s circumference to match up exactly. And for all those points to match up exactly you’d need this precision to remain constant no matter how closely you looked: the particles, the cells, the atoms... And are these “points” stationary or are they in motion? The maddening search for perfection simply breaks down."

    • If you zoom in close enough, then no, of course there are no perfect circles.iCanHazQBN
    • and all those points = infinity so therefore no perfect circle can ever exist in nature.fadein11
    • wow - you just realised this? not being mean just interested.fadein11
