no sides...
this year:
literacy vs. illiteracy
leadership vs. "business as usual"
brain damaged from alcoholism vs. good night's sleep damaged by Vietnam memories

can you outline, specifically, the "lesser" evils of John Kerry, not the Democratic party but John Kerry, because I don't know....
- unfittoprint0
the other day there was this woman 'explaining' why Bush was better than Kerry:
'Because he flew these dangerous planes'.

did she say it in McArabic?

I dunno. I dont even know what he stands for. Sounds like a career politicians through and through. Just like the rest of em. They say he flip-flops.
Anyway. My position. The United States will continue to conduct it's police wars wherever the need maybe. One may do it more tactfully than the other, but Clinton, Gore, Bush, Kerry - they will none-the-less happen. The US primary foreign policy has been, and will continue to be, under any leader, to perpetuate US asynetric military dominance of the globe. No matter what the cost. Failed states will be turned into weak states, and allowed to fail again. Dictators will be toppled and resurrected. International trade agreements and economic treaties will marginalise the poor and continue to perpetuate a protectionist/imperialist system. I dont know, nor do i care, how great he might be for you domestically.
The US as a state represents an expansionist super-power, hypocritical, and corporate. A police state in the pocket of global capitalism. None of your leaders is gonna change that. The solution? Destroy the very idea of nations across the globe and have true global democracy. It's the only way. Otherwise, keep swimming in the same slime, with your 2-bit politicians who promise everything and deliver nothing.

nah, Kuz, i am against all of the fascist elements you list above, but, having gone the conspiracy theory route a while ago....surveying what, in the geography of the mind, supports these ideas of Global Invasion of Lizard Capitalists....well, it's all true, BUT....when you say this
"They say he flip-flops. "
you should know that you are speaking that same McArabic...that same Tribal Language that defines "changing your mind" or "thinking" as a flip-flop...do not fall into the trap and do not, DO NOT, believe that things cant change...because all we have, right now, in this goddamn great country is hope that John Kerry can be a catalyst and a Uniter for Change. Once that belief is abandoned...well, then you are as negative as a Texas Oil Addict or a Cheeseburger Populist, or a Euro-slacker Look, a lot of cats think that having grand conspiracy theories about the world and their constant struggle against everything that exhibits responsibility, normalcy, or structure is part of the Lizard agenda....and it may be so, but you have to carry on for the Hope and Freedom of the World.

oh my god. You fuckin love Kerry! Why?? what the hell??
I'm not into conspiracies, i just (think i) know how this world works.
Maybe I shouldn't use the word flip-flops, cos it is using their language. Still, tell me anything he's gonna do that i shud be exited about. "We will stand firm against terrorists!" he keeps saying that shit. "We will not outlaw the use of pre-emptive strikes". Nothing. he aint got nothing.
Change will happen. It's definitly gonna happen. But it's gonna be spontaneous and happen from below. The world is changing physically. Global spontaneous networks of people. Bio-political power etc.. I support Kerry only cos the US will fall away as a superpower quicker under him.

Synopsis
With the positive spirit and intellectual depth that are the authors' hallmark, Multitude argues that some of the most troubling aspects of the new world order contain the seeds of radical global social transformation. The accelerating integration of economic, political and cultural powers in the world is actually a force for the good. No longer simply the silent, oppressed masses, the world's populations form a fluid and powerful network with the strength to bring about the most radical step in the liberation of humankind since the Industrial Revolution. This multitude, Hardt and Negri tell us, is the key to democracy on a global scale.

nobody is going to give you the easy, packagable way to define John Kerry....if you know the way the world works, then start researching his Senate record (not that you;re voting in the US anyway) Research, primarily, his environmental record and his work with the Senate on Veterans Affairs (w/ John McCain)
check this:

also, if your are Globalist, you might want a man who spent time living around the globe, speaks several languages, reads books, etc...
